One big source of confusion is the degree of ascendant cancer which after just 1 min changes from cancer to leo. 21-Nov-195511:20pmDhaka (25N33, 88E43)Time zone: 6:00 East of GMT.Whatis the effect of ascendant being at such a place.and how to analyze such charts. Any reading material would be helpful. Since Leo lagna is going to start in 1 min, will there be more effects of leo or cancer or mixed?Also how do we determine which lagna is having dominant effect? Can various life incidents give some clues? The native lost his mother was he was around 4 years old.At which time mangal maha dasha with Mercury dasha was running.If I take CANCER LAGNAMoon is in 7th house. May I just offer you some thoughts on the horoscope you mentioned,, For birthtime rectification , you need more information on events in the person's life. I am mainly concentrating on the loss of mother and effects of mars mercury and moon. Taking Cancer as lagna, firstly notice that the Lagna is in the 4th pada of Asleesa nakshatra, which is very inauspicious as it is in gandanta status (junction of water/fire signs,, cancer/leo) During mars and mercury period, native lost his mother,, Mercury is 12L and lord of 3H, hence malefic for lagna. Mercury is in nakshatra of Jupiter, who is placed in the 2H (marka powers) Mars is yogkarka for this lagna, but is very weak (2deg lib)placed in an enemy sign(venus).. Venus is in 2h from mars(marka effect) Mars and mercury are also temperory and permanent enemies.. therefore bitter enemies. All this is crippling mars and it is unable to give good results. Both mars and mercury are placed in 4th house, which is a moksha house.. Moon is in 7H capricorn, whose lord Shani is weak, Moon in Dhanista nakshatra, whose lord and sub lord is mars, (very much weaken as explained above) In bhava chalit chart, Jupiter aspects Moon but jupiter is 6HL and 12HL. The 4H is badly afflicted, marka 2HL sun, mercury 3and 12HL and shani 7and 8HL.. In Navamsha, moon is with ketu and sun in the 6th house, with mars, the nakshatra lord of moon placed in 8H. Shani the depositor of moon is placed in the 5H, which is 12th house from moon.. This makes me extremely happy. When we calculate as per your time of Birth the Lagna comes as Leo and not as Cancer. With your given time of Birth I get the Ascendant as Leo 00.56.51 but You must use KP Ayanamsha, and not any other. Verification of Your given Birth time First of all I checked the birth time whether it was correct or not and my time of Judgement was tonight 20.55.17.at Bombay. This is known as the Ruling Planets method which I have explained in one of my earlier posts, last week, how one astrologer should go about. The Lagna was Sagittarius. - Jupiter. Lagna Star U. Asadha - Sun Moon Star Jyestha - Mercury. Moon Raashi Scorpio - Mars. Day Ruler ( Tuesday ) - Mars. Thus the ruling Planets are Jupiter, Sun, Mercury and Mars. You had a doubt whether we should take Cancer Ascendant or not ? The Lord of Cancer is Moon. Does Moon appear in above Ruling Planets ? No. So the Lagna leo is absolutely right as the Lord of this Lagna , The Sun , appears in the above Ruling Planets. The Lagna Star is very important in Ruling Planets, and it has given us the clue, for the veracity of Your Lagna. Okay Now, is this Lagna Leo actually right ? I asked you on the phone whether your father has a younger brother, and You said yes. Proof - Check the chart . the Planet Mars karaka for the younger brother is placed in the 3rd house of Younger brother . Your grandmother was taken away early when your father was small . Proof - Check the 4th Lord of Scorpio, Mars, is placed 12th from its own house. Check the concentration of 4 Planets in the 4th house of mother rendering it absolute without any relief or getaway options. Sun and Saturn conjunct within 3 degrees Orb. Venus and Rahu within 1 degree Orb. The presence of 3 seperatative planets Sun, Saturn and Rahu together , anywhere, is enough to spoil that house. Also Moon, the natural karaka for mother, placed in the 6th house from itself, in the nakshatra Dhanista, owned by Mars, and Mars is also aspecting this Moon.
