Guest guest
Dear sudhanshurajvanshi2002,Panchak occurs when the moon’s longitude is between 296 degrees and 360 degrees in sidereal calculation. Out of the total of the 27 star constellations, mostly Panchak occurs in the last 5 stars, thus generally occuring for 5 days every month. It is not for one day. There is another phenomenon of panchak baan which is based on the longitude of sun and is of 5 types. I know of Panchak, Bhishma Panchak, Yama Panchak, Vishnu panchak etc. but I have not heard of Mahapanchak, that too for one date only. Are you sure you've seen it right? 4 june 2008 does not fall in panchak and is a pratipada. There are several other maha... days in panchangas, may be there is an error in reading. I would also like to know about it. May be Bhaskar ji has an idea..
