The validity of Kala Sarpa Yoga -The planets placed on the 2 sides of the Sun causeYogas like, Veli,vesi and Ubhayachari . From the twosides of the Moon they cause Anfa,Sunfa,Durdhuraand Kemadruma . Saturn with Moon causes Visha yoga.Rahu with Moon causes Grahan Yoga. Rahu with Jupitercauses Chandal Yoga.When we accept the above Yogas, then why must we deny the effects of Yoga causes by Rahu and Ketu or the bad effects of planets swallowed by rahu and Ketu ?I am not sure but I have read that Varamihira hasadmitted and established Sarpayoga in his BrihatJatak Nabha Sanjog. Dear Bhaskar ji,KSY must be valid, as it denotes an important interplay of planets which is governed by the karmic Rahu himself. It is like the Celetial Nabhas Yogas which give their results throughout the life of a native independent of dashas.

The result may be good or bad, that needs to be carefully ascertained.The point, whether this particular chart has KSY or not, however, should be sorted out for our future understanding.

dear Bhaskar ji and neelam ji I was trying steer away frm this discussions due to controversy attached to it ,some is having too much affinity to thse yogas ,some because their gurus says so are lov to blv it But it is taking in the tune as a good discussion and i cannot control my 2 cents for this discussion under topic it says that Kalasarpa dosha or yoga ( caused by rahu ) and kalamrit dosha ( caused by ketu ) 2 kinds of kalasarpa doshas when all the planets r in between rahu and ketu ( always consider reverse placement as rahu -ketu always transit anti -clockwise ) it says it is kalasarpa dosha and when all planets are in between the ketu and rahu it is says its kala amrit dosha some says it as anulome kalasarpa dosha and vilome kalasarpa dosha results -it can bring challenges

to the finances, health and property of people. In addition, Kalasarpa

Dosha causes delays and obstructions in our daily life, making it

difficult to accomplish anything. No matter how hard one may try, it

seems almost impossible to complete any work.some says rahu being karaka for laukika it will lead nature to too much indugance in mundane matters and take him to disastrous levels and when ketu is leading this dosha ,some can become too much spiritual and can forget his duties and even discard all his potentioals and growth .Now we hav see the conditions of kala sarpa dosha ,let us forget it is not mentioned in any classics ,yet it become most feared and dreaded dosha and bad yoga in a chart ,and easy tool for astrologer to declare results .We can also forget latest addition of partial kalasarpa dosha s.when ever a cricketer or film star or famous personaly has any problems we hav easy answer ,partial kalasarpa did we forget ganguli episodes ,sachin tendul kar elbow problems and his visits to kukki subramanya temple ??we hav all famous personalities like Nehrue ,Rajni kant ,dirubai ambani is all famous exmples of kalasarpa dosha .Goege W Bush ,margaret thatcher ,benito mussolini and nelson mandela also has full fledged KSY or KAY Let us see what gr8 B V raman says abt this dosha ( Tho he dont advocate the yoga )1) All planets must be "hemmed in" between Rahu and Ketu, as we read clockwise in the southern-style radix

Dear BhaskarjiOn the subject of Kalasarpa Yoga :The most logical explanation about its effects that I have so far come across is given by PRASH TRIVEDI in his book The Rahu Ketu Experience. Here he explains that Rahu as North node and Ketu as south node can be looked upon to represent the North - South axis in a chart irrespective of placement of planets in houses as long as they are hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu.One can easily identify the eastern half of the chart via the eastern direction from Rahu to Ketu and likewise the western half.Thus the planets hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu will lie fully in the eastern Solar half or Western the Lunar half. This extremity of totally solar or lunar nature functioning makes the chart greatly imbalanced making life a difficult journey to navigate.
