Guest guest
Dear All, Today an interesting thought come to my mind and i want to share it with you. As it is written in our shashtras that kal-chakra rotates continuously and causes change of chaturyugas (Satya, Treta, Dwaper and Kali) in tendem and at the end of kaliyug again Satyuga will start. There is also mention of the time span of a chturyugi in years. I thought whether there is some method to verify the time span of chaturyugi, and a brilliant idea came to my mind. To clarify that i am mentioning below certain facts- 1. Everything which happens is determined by the position and gati of planets and nakshatras. whether we are able to decode it completely or not. as by jyotish most of the happenings are explained satisfactorily. 2. Whenever these planets and naksharas will come in the ditto same configuration the same happenings will manifest on the earth. 3. As we know that there is a definite speed, and direction of motion for each of the planets, they go on rotating around the sun and there is one day that is bound to come when they all align themselves to repeat a particular formation again, and after that because everything in there motion will remain same, therefore there will be repeat of the story, which is already played saveral times in the past, just like a taperecorder. Definitely there will be minor variations in the version of the story, because the universe is expanding (astronomically) and the positions of the naksharas will change a little bit, some change may occur in the planets by comets and other happenings. 4. It is possible although tough for a good mathmatecian/ astronomer/ astrologist to calculate the time interval between one astrological formation and when it will be repeated in ditto again. it may be the formation of any day does not matter, the time interval in every case will be the same. 5. If the calculated interval is same as the period of one chaturyugi mentioned in our shashtras, it will be a great achievement. Guest guest
Dear Dharmendra ji,That was pretty curious and I like your brilliant idea, if an equally brilliant software specialist could give shape to it! As they say, parallel lines meet at infinity! But how to find where’s infinity. For all practical purposes, parallel lines never intersect is what we accept that and bless Euclid’s soul for making our life easier. It does appear to us that time is cyclical, right from the cycle of breathing, biological functions, day and night, seasons, planetary rotations, etc. everything seems to be repetitive and cyclical. The yugas also are said to follow cyclical pattern till about 1000 of Brahma ji’s years, after which a new Brahma arrives and the cycle repeats. Yet, each moment is different. No two moments can ever be the same. Remember the saying about beeta pal jo laut kar nahin aata! There are so many heavenly bodies moving with precision on the scale of time, that theoretically it is impossible to extrapolate, specially if stars and nakshatras are also included. Some people have tried to date the events with respect to planetary positions (see Bhatnagar's work for Lord Rama's birth), a total replica of the same sky, having all planets having same degrees, however, is not possible. In the time-space anomaly, even if hypothetically, one moment is ever repeated, it’s the space which has taken an entirely different perspective. That is why desh-kaal-patra is an ever evolving issue in astrology. Similar planetary positions (broadly), may not bring about the same results even if they repeat in the sky. What we try to see through astrology is the probability of occurrence of happenings, and based on our experience and reality. Hope that makes sense.
