There is nothing to avoid multiple requests in that situation and since most astrologers are too busy to read who responded (particularly when different sites are involved), the best approach for astrologers who wish to give free readings is the traditional saying: NEKI KAR KUAAIN MAY DAAL (give alms and do not look back as to what happened to it!) This also teaches the selfless astrologer (I assume that all astros that give free readings are karma yogis!) what Gita says as often quoted: Do the proper karma and do not worry about the result, consequences and rewards! The nativities that are giving " charity " as a remedial must adopt a similar attitude. If they do not, we will be hearing their complaints ad nauseum, ad infinitum... If a person begs something from me and i put some coins in his bowl, and after 2 minutes i see that person asking my wife for some money, i will surely inform my wife that i have already paid the beggar, and you need not pay. In same way its the duty of every astrologer to inform his colleagues about some help given, so that advantage is not taken of, and at the same time, duplication of efforts is not done. Unless we astrologers do not join together and be info- sharing, the general lot of the public will keep on squeezing more and more from us. My attempts are always in the directions to make this community of astrologers a close knit one so that we do not disssipate our energies . I hope they show some patience and also it is our job to treat/refuse such frequent attempts by them, we must not treat/call them beggers but they need to know they can and must pay something to the astrologer or a chairty designated by the the astrologer all is not free and once they pay they won't ask so many either can the ask a doctor or doctors so many times, no way it will cost them a fortune to do so. best wishes prashant I use BV Raman & #39;s Ayanamsa=Dasa, Vargas, Dates will differ from non Raman & #39;s. These people i would certainly classify them under the heading of " beggars " or worse then them. My father was a gazzated  officer medical Health Deptt with UP Govt He retired in 1992 My only brother is a class ! officer (IPS) posted in gujarat state .. I was married on 14/12/1996 to a gujarati brahmin boy .HIs name is NIgam Shukla DOB 6/01/1959 .time of birth 3:45 am. My husband is a criminal lawyer in Gujarat HighCourt HIs only elder brother is staying in USA.Father is alive completed 89 years Nigams mother expired in1972 on the 3rd day of holi due to burns , I have a 4 year old daughter(13/11/04) . She was borned after lots of difficulty & advanced medical procedure (IVF) . My problem is I was mentally & physically harassed since the first day of marriage .In june 2005 I was thrown out of along with my daughter by my husband ,but due to social pressure I was taken back by him ondec2006. Now again since last 9 months I am staying with my parents along with mydaughter . Now I dont want to go back to my husband .I have started a preprimary school with financial help of my father in Gandhinagar. ( I am staying with my parents in there flat in Ahmedabad) That school is also not  giving positive returns . Predict about my school & tell me any remedy if it is possible. Alms actually is not " bheekh " because they can be charity (investing for future) or payment (when given to saints and sages; the same term alms is used). I am okay with 'charity' if that brings more clarity to our understanding of what we are discussing. However, not all of them -- I realized later on -- are callous or careless. Some are purely devoid of hopefulness and in panic and even somewhat " disturbed " (no other way to say it!). Then there are those that are bitter and sceptical and just into what surges from time to time, which I call, " Bash the astrologer " urges! Also there are scouts and self-appointed quality control inspectors who try to use these forums as " test the astrologer " . Some of the astrologers are not above that either as we all know. And as some individuals had earlier indicated through some research and detection that some of the requests are placed by what can only be called Astrology brokers. They take it upon their good-selves to collect readings and pass those on to the nativity presumably as if they themselves gave the reading. Archives on this forum from a few years ago would clearly highlight those discussions. As to astrologers joining hands and becoming one -- that is a very desirable and commendable goal and one that is very close to my heart and though I have managed to do that to a small extent only, the multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to divination is possible as I have seen and helped on several fora but becomes difficult to sustain perhaps because of some natural selection or something else! So given all that and more, what is one to do, to keep serving the craft of divination that is so dear to our hearts and soul? Perhaps it is the karma/lesson for all of us astrologers to learn that we must realize that really we are not the creators of the message that we convey to the nativity but merely presenters. By this I should not be misunderstood for saying that astrologers use intuition alone or channel *entities* for producing their oracle. No, there is a lot of technique and interpretation involved. Our learning and realizing this would lead us to have a certain detachment from the noble but still self-absorbed mental attitude of having helped someone and feeling 'great' through doing so. Constantly practicing this takes the edge and pain away from the feeling of being cheated through the ungratefulness of those we tried to help. Even the air we breath, is allowed free to us only if compliance is met with the rules of nature, from our end,or ese the breath is stopped.
