Yes, when a native should build a house, and how many of them, has to be decided according to the placement of the Saturn in the Janma kundali of the native. Yes, I am also aware of the way out suggested to circumvent such prohibitions through the two upaya astrologers resort to. I do not agree with these upaya or the way out suggested. Afterall who are they hoodwinking/befooling through such upaya/wayout? The planets, who else. I do not think planets can be made fools. The job of an astrologer is to tell the native the truth and its consequences. He should not be an accomplice in hoodwinking or befooling the planets. The only way out is to appease the planets and not to hoodwink them. The best way is to appease the planets; for example if a person with Saturn in the 5th house wants to build a house then the LK suggests that a male buffalo, after appropriate pooja, be let free in the jungle to be a stud. In another case the LK suggests that a dog be taken around in the house or a dog be kept/reared at the site of the house till it is completed. Guest guest Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 Respected Iqbal ji, For Saturn in the 3rd the Lal Kitab says: “ketu paalan â€" 3 kutte rakhe to makan banega, varna garibi ka kutta bhaunkta rahe [ mande mayanon mein]†{ 1952 urdu ed ; page 1133 ] Therefore there are no restrictions regarding the number of houses he can build, but he should keep [ 3 kutte] either a dog as a pet, or keep his daughter’s son, or daughter’s husband with him. If he doesn’t do this then there is a possibility that he stays poor. He should do the palana of Ketu by keeping either of the 3 kutte or he can even let a male buffalo free to be a stud by way of making amends. If you have any children of your daughter or some lady you love like your daughter, then now and then you can gift them some thing and keep them appeased. Similarly you can keep your daughter's husband/ [some one you love like him] appeased by gifting things now and then. The idea is not so much to make them live with you,it is more of appeasing them. I do not think keeping a clay dog or a toy dog would be a suitable alternative. To my mind it would amount to hoodwinking the planets.
