Mr. Gupta,

///If possible kindly please do publish this post as I think whatever I have

written is not wrong.///

I've allowed this post only to point out where you WERE wrong and why your posts

are now moderated. Hopefully then, if you seek help elsewhere, you might adopt a

different attitude.

///Sorry once again if I insult or hurt someone's ego but I had no intention to

do that.///

Insult or hurt someone's ego... " Ego " ! Do you not see how disrespectful this is?

And this?

///Yes, a nice quote from Bhagvad Gita but I wonder if you even know what you

have written.///

Again, this is extremely disrespectful!

///Last but not the least, Thanks for all the help although I am still confused

about the conclusion///

Of course you're confused! You obviously have no knowledge of astrology, so how

could you possibly understand the reasoning behind the advice given. This group

is for astrologers and students of astrology (only) who wish to discuss the

principles of Vedic astrology...as you would certainly know if you'd read the

welcome message.

///but I do not think it matters at all to the moderator.///

It mattered enough that your post was approved!

If members wish to discuss your son's chart for the purpose of study, I have no

objection...and who knows, you might just learn something! But any post from you

with even a hint of rudeness will not be approved.

Thank You,

Mrs.Wendy

Re: My son struggling career.... please help

Hello All

Thanks for all the help. I just wanna say sorry to all those who felt that I

have disrespected anyone over here.

There is one thing mentioned in the message about others. Well others are people

from this same group. If the moderator see the replies to this thread then they

can see that the predictions have been different from different. This in itself

must be a reason for discussion that why two astrologers from the same group

give different predictions.

Sorry once again if I insult or hurt someone's ego but I had no intention to do

that.

Last but not the least, Thanks for all the help although I am still confused

about the conclusion but I do not think it matters at all to the moderator.

If possible kindly please do publish this post as I think whatever I have

written is not wrong.

Regards

Ramavtar

Dear Rui, Sivaprakasam, Vic and All,

The recent exchange with Mr. Gupta is a prime example of why I insist JV remains

a discussion group and not a shop for free readings. Mr. Gupta simply wanted a

prediction regarding his son's ability to find suitable employment if he left

his current job in Bangalore and returned home to his parents.

Both myself and Sivaprakasam (I believe) pointed to the fact that his current

period was not favorable in terms of occupation. Unfortunately this advice fell

on deaf ears and Mr. Gupta didn't hesitate to express his displeasure that his

question wasn't answered to his satisfaction.

I'm not in a position to judge the behavior of the general public in countries

other than my own, but it seems to me that a large portion of the public

approach astrologers with an attitude of " give me what I want or be damned " .

This, in my opinion, is appalling! In the very early days of my studies, going

back more than twenty years now, I was blessed to be able to consult several

eminent astrologers. My attitude was one of absolute reverence simply to be in

their company...no doubt an expression of my complete reverence of this divine

science.

Looking at the chart of Mr. Gupta's son, it seemed clear to me that satisfaction

in regards to his occupation etc., regardless of where that was, would be

difficult to achieve considering the influences on 10th. I therefore advised Mr.

Gupta to encourage his son to be patient with his circumstances and to do the

best he can whilst under the rulership of Saturn (who would surely test his

resolve, no doubt). But, again, this wasn't the answer he was looking for and he

expressed his dissatisfaction with the advice all four members (Rui,

Sivaprakasam, Vic and myself) gave him freely. He was in fact downright

insulting in his response to a quote Vic gave from the Bhagavad Gita.

As for the short response to his following questions;

///1. Is there any possibility of job change in sometime in neat future?///

As alluded to in my response, 10th lord Venus conjunct Rahu indicates ups and

downs (changes) in regards to occupation/status. Venus P/D running until 23 May

is capable of initiating change; however, with Venus' dispositor (Mars)

currently aspecting 10th from sign of debilitation, change for the better is not

favored in my opinion...others may differ?

///2. Will he has to stay away from us throughout his life as I believe that

being away from family is also taking a heavy toll on him?///

Unfortunately this is true; his attachment to family (and they to him) is

something that will probably always stand in his way in regards to

self-reliance. Note 2nd lord Saturn in retrograde motion in 10th conjunct

inimical 7th lord Moon and Ketu.

///3. For how long he has to struggle like this in his career?///

Certainly I don't envisage any positive change during the remainder of Saturn

dasa. The upcoming dasa of 9th lord Mercury, although well-placed in 5th (8th

from 10th), is combust 8th lord Sun whilst both occupy nakshatra of 7th lord

Moon, inimically placed in 10th.

Complex! I welcome the thoughts of others...

Best Wishes

Mrs.Wendy

Re: My son struggling career.... please help

Mr. Gupta,

First you say to Sivaprakasam that " others " suggest there will be some job

change in the near future; Then you tell Vic that you cannot find any

astrologer in your area? Perhaps the " others " you refer to are other groups?

However, before I close this thread, I would advise you how to help your

son, if this is what you truly want. First and foremost you must understand

that this Saturn dasa which runs until April 2011 is not the best period in

your son's life. You say he's really worked hard all his life but life has not

given

him any good opportunity till now.

If you were a genuine (astrology) student, which is what this discussion

group is intended for, you would understand that this is the very nature of

Saturn - hard work, setbacks, disappointments etc..

For your son, exalted lagnesh Saturn, occupying 10th house of occupation, is

in retrograde motion. Scripture tells us that the house who's lord is

retrograde suffers i.e., lagna lord in retrograde motion suggests he may

lack confidence or self-esteem, and gaining recognition can be difficult.

The important point here is that it's highly unlikely your son will find

satisfaction in any occupation whilst Saturn dasa is running. Added to this

is the influence of 7th lord Moon and Ketu indicating a tendency towards

melancholy, unexpected hindrances etc..

These three planets in 10th all occupy nakshatra of Jupiter who himself is

debilitated in lagna. Jupiter, we know, is the planet of happiness and

contentment; so again we see the potential for diminished happiness and

(importantly) discontent in regards to occupation. My advise to you is to

encourage your son to be patient with his circumstances and to do the best

he can whilst under the rulership of Saturn...he will surely test his

resolve, no doubt!

Wherever Moon is placed is (generally) an area we find ourselves emotionally

(or mentally) attached to. This conjunction of MO/SA, in 10th and aspecting

4th, suggests a strong attachment to his parents which can make 'standing on

his own feet' a difficult thing for him to do (emotionally).

Just a couple of points before I leave this with the suggestion that you

seek out a professional astrologer for a personal reading...a public group

is NOT the place for this!

1) Although in retrograde motion, exalted Saturn has allowed him to obtain a

position which, believe me, is denied to many.

2) The aspect of 10th lord Venus, although conjunct Rahu (who indicates

changes/ups and downs) should assist him in finding a position; although the

likelihood of satisfaction is minimal whilst running dasa of Saturn.

PS: Your posts are now moderated due to the disrespect shown to one of our

members. This, stated on the group's welcome message, is unacceptable

on JV.

Best Wishes

Dear Mr. Gupta,

I understand your concern. As a mother of two adult men, a grandmother of

seven and great grandmother of four, I've had more than my share of worries

and concerns over the years. But these times invariably pass without too

much stress if we can stay focused and calm...for the sake of our children.

If a child senses the concern of their parents it only adds to their own

concern.

///Now just compare these responses with what Mr Rui, you and Mr Sivaprakasm

Ji has sent.///

I really do think you should read over what I said...see below.

**As for the short response to his following questions;

///1. Is there any possibility of job change in sometime in neat future?///

I'm sorry I can't spend any more time on this at the moment. My son and his

partner have just arrived and I'm way behind with everything...really MUST

go!

Best Wishes

Re: My son struggling career.... please help

Dear Mrs Wendy Ji

Although I was not expecting any further discussion but since now I want to

follow this group to learn some basics. Thanks for your last message.

Thanks a lot for your message. I once again want to say that I did not have

any intention to disgrace anyone over here. I know people are selflessly

helping others but just imagine the state of a father whose son was once a

happy jolly child and now he had even stopped smiling. In fact, recently I

read his diary and he wrote that he even wished to commit suicide. Just

imagine how much I had got broken by reading that. Moreover you have seen

only the responses sent by people over here on this group but I recieved

three more responses from this same group and their predictions are as

follows:

1. He is going to get a new job by May 2010 and then in Sep 2010 there are

chances. By July, he will be able to get back to home or nearby.

2. There is no job change possible until April 2011 as some Mercury

Mahadasha is going to begin at that time. He will never ever stay with his

parents. Even if he stays with us then the results will be disastrous.

3. There are chances to get job only in Sep 2010 which will bring him back

to home and all his problems will be resolved and he will get a job that he

likes.

Now just compare these responses with what Mr Rui, you and Mr Sivaprakasm Ji

has sent. What would you say? Am I wrong to raise concerns when I got those

replies as present on the group? You are saying that the analysis given by

these great people was amazing and quite in depth and I agree to this

statement but what about these three responses. I do not want to name these

people but these are also active members on this group.

Should I not be confused that from the same chart different people are

giving different predictions with no two analysis matching up?

I once again want to say sorry to all the people who felt insulted by my

statements.

Extremely sorry.

Thanks once again for providing your analysis.

Dear Sir

Hope you are doing fine. Its about my son who is struggling

in his life. He has completed MBA in 2009 and has really

worked hard thru out his life but life has not given him any

good opportunity till now. He is still struggling. I wish to

get your help and guidance in this regard. His details are:

DOB : 1 June 1985

POB : Delhi

TOB : 11:00 PM

He has just changed and joined his second job after MBA on

6 Jan 2010 in Bangalore but the way I found is that he is

still unsatisfied and unhappy. I have advised him to leave

if he is not satisfied but he is scared that he would not

get another job. Kindly please provide your guidance and

tell me for how long he has to struggle? Is there any chance

for him to get any other job in some time soon? Will he

remain away from us for lifetime?

Kindly please enlighten.

Dear Ramavtar ji,

I appreciate the concern you have for your son. I am also happy that he has completed his MBA.

You should never use these words " but life has not given him anygood opportunity till now. "

Firstly, whatever we receive in this Life, is what we have ourselves attracted through our actions, Kriyamana, Prarabdh or dirdha adridha.

Secondly how much Life has he seen or struggled that one must expect much from same ? he is just a young Lad of 23 years. Lets not look for over expectations. People at this age, these days are still studying and doing their higher courses.

Let him struggle at least till he has your Umbrella over him in Life. This will make him strong when you are not there and he will be able to fend for himself in his Life.

Now coming to the Query -

Your son is right. He may not get another job as of now, so its better for him to continue. You are also right that he is unsatisfied in his job. This dissatisfaction will remain even if he takes up another job, uptil february 2011. So better to sleep with a known devil rather than an unknown angel.

The best time of his Life will begin from the same time around - feb 2011 onwards. He will acquire a job of his desire and with good remunerations during this period. If he is interested then let him know that a Teaching job is the best for him, or a connection to an education institution is the best for him, especially from the period of feb 2011 onwards..

Normally no son remains away from his parents for Life time. BUT we must not expect much from children when they grow up. Do your duty and let him live his Life without any expectations from him.

best wishes,

Bhaskar.
