Just happened to read some today. to vivek WELL ALL OF US HERE HAVE PASSED THIS MISSILE that we must not make money, initially even Bhaskar too did this and after spending some time here did realise there is a lot of useful work all of us do and this COSTS us in turn to run this service not all are having alternative source of income to preach from a moral high ground. Parasara and many others who laid these rules at times when life to the learned be it Vedic scholars, astrologers, doctors, teachers were respected by civil society and rulers then and paid them some grants, charity they did not have to worry on next meal, next bill etc I have hinted on doctors then will u quote some Ayurvedic scriptures or two and tell a Docter Vaidyo Naarayana Hari hee..! A doctor is Narayana the god, so u not only venorate him as God but is the doc is generous , merciful as such? as god -- say so don't charge me please get a free treatment and get back all of us here do a lot of free work and some small %age feel they can pay and do pay its too small doesn't event meet our INTERNET, power bills, our system maintenances leave alone our lives. above all what costs u to live will also cost an astrologer, health, rentals, education, food, clothing, travel power, telephone, pc's..... to live and if they live only canhelp others, else people standing between 2 stools can only do it. any day a full time personcan handle thesubject in depththan a make shift one. if any one can provide all this sure WE WILL GIVE JUST FREE ADVICES TO ALL. EVERY PROFESSION CHARGES all an astrologer is warned is not to make it greedy or hurt someone who comes to us in battered, or disastrous state. are we not seen doing it here how many mails for help are comming and we are all providing it free here. there has never been a demand for money. max we ask is some info to help them MY INTENTION IS NOT TO PROLONG THIS but to state why it is happening so, have been doing this a few times to defend fellow astrologers. If a astrologer who gets Fees from only 1 person out of 200-500 readings done selflessly, then how can he be called business minded ? No way should such persons be targetted. This is criminal torture, entirely from a perspective of justice. No where have I actually given half readings, to make any querist come on my private e mail to ask for more, so that I could charge him. Nowhere do I put fear in the mind of the querist to make him come to me for a personal reading so that I can charge him fees. If mantaining a stand of replying to only 2 important queries, is advertisement or being business minded, then so be it. Why should a astrologer reply to a dozen or half a dozen queries of a single querist to prove himself very good. I dont see any tangible reason. If I sit down to replying such querists then half of my day would be over, in replying to only one, and all the ither querists would remain unreplied. And if even this one person whom I have replied is not satisfied and does not bless me, then that day has gone waste. Neither blessings received neither any money for sustenance. Is this practical ? No Sir not at all. I do not think its written in any scriptures, that a person should not take Fees for his astrological services offered. This is in defence of those astrologers who have taken astrology as a full time profession and those who have no other means of earnings. No where is it written that one astrologer should not see another astrologers charts. If this is written and those who claim such, should then never go to another astrologer for chart reading.Or should they ? No where is it written, that one astrologer should not read his own chart. How will a astrologer learn and progress in astrology,if he cannot and does not know how to read his own chart and check the progressions, whether they match or not in the results which have been percieved month to month. Those who can pay to their Chartered accountants, childrens school fees, Doctors and doctors medicines, for taking their wife out to cinema halls and restaurants, for contraceptives, for Audio-Video Cds for entertainment, for Internet bills, for telephone bills, for Television Cable, for cups of tea and breakfasts taken, those who earn handsome salaries, who are placed professionaly well , hav no right to talk about scriptures and take free readings or offer excuses for not paying, just because the astrologer has not demanded out of his goodness. whatever may be the reason for not paying, but there should be every reason to bless the astrologer for his time spent, and there should be no place for cursing or ingratitude. The least one can be is remain grateful and thankful, and there is of course no need to display these emotions. That is not required, by astrologers who do this as a duty out of love and compassion for their fellow human beings. Bhrigu Rishi may have received curse, but one should not forget that Lord Vishnu loved him, and whom God Vishnu loves, even Maya favours, curse or no curse. The person whose hand Lord Vishnu holds, or the person whose foot Lord Vishnu takes on his chest, knowingly and lovingly for a good cause, ultimately even Lakshmi gets pacified and bestows his blessings upon. So lets not bring in scriptures without quoting them without authenticity and just based on our assumptions. Also its not mandatory for any astrologer or Doctor or Chartered accountant to deliver his services for free to ungrateful receipients. This is not written anywhere in any book or scriptures.Even the best Yoga baba today in India, if You have to sit in front of him for enjoying closeness, one has to pay extra money for passes to sit in private front enclosures. rest have to sit behind in the common enclosures. Guest guest Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 One small piece of advise to all astrologers (genuine or not)- Those who claim to be astrologers for n number of years,and attack the real astrologers working selflessly on Forums or otherwise,shoud now change their places, and start sitting in the other seat, and commence serving the society. This way business minded astros like me would get enough spare time and energy do their businesses properly.
