What you describe is a very common phenomenon in western countries

and called 'living together' and after one year their liasion is

acknowledged by Law for tax, property sharing and wills etc. Such a

partnership is called 'Common law'. This is done with full freedom

and the 'chupa-chupee' that you describe is probably a big thing in

some countries and societies but essentially is the same as partners

under common law.

 

Assuming that your situation is in India, I am not sure what legal

position would be for your relationship under such circumstances.

 

As far as astrology is concerned, it is a marriage.
