Dear Chandran,

VAIDIC Astrology should be studied  with reference and context of the

literature of that period.

Parasara has contributed richika's to Vedas ,authored Vishunu Purana besides

BPHS AND PARASARA SAMHITA.

In Ch -21 ,Sloka 4 of Brihat Jataka says " If benefics join the Lunar hora in even

signs, the person becomes tenderhearted,handsome,happy.popular,intelligent and

polite speaker.

These qualities become even more prominent if this combination falls n the

Female nativity.

Gita in Ch-10 Sloka 34 sayas that I  am  the qualities- Fame (Kirti)

,prosperity(Shree), Speech( Vak),Memory( Smtity),

Intelligence(Medha),Firmness(Dhirti)

and Forgiveness ( Chhama) , which are  endowed with females.

Women are not subordinate to men but are in complimentary  role with them.They

are incomplete without each other.

In this context , some Female features are elaborated in Stree Jatak separately.

Women's Nature

 

 

Let me introduce myself. I am a retired Colonel from Corps of Engineers, Army. I

did my engineering from College of Engineering , Trivandrum , M Tech from

University of Roorkee .  I am  a Chartered Engineer. At present I am working

as GM of a MNC  in Trivandrum.

I am genuinely interested in astrology. Despite limitations of time, I spend

some time on reading books, mostly translations of classics by sages. I read

most of the articles coming in the ancient astrology group. It is quite

interesting. I have noticed that your postings are to the point and quite

relevent to issues which are under discussion.

Women's horoscopes are discussed separately in all books.  Sometime the results

given are also opposite. For eg, if Shukra is in seventh house in a horoscope of

a man, he will have relationships outside marriage generally. [Exceptions are

there]. However if it is in women's chart it is auspicious. Also Trisama has

been given lot of importance in analysing female horoscopes. I would like to

know your views on this.
