Nobody is Maarkandeya here who can chage his fate from 16 year old to immortality, nor any of us is Saavitree who can bring back her husband back from Yam Lok. Do you have any other such example in changing the fates? // You are absulutely right. To change fate is not in a ordinary mortals hands. Jyotish can only guide the future. // I still doubt that wearing gems, praying etc change fates. They are only " Nimitta " and these Nimitta come to you only when the time comes for that change in your life, otherwise you go on looking for these Nimitta and you don't find them. // You are agin right. But these Gems and prayers bring about a positive change and outlook in us, to face, to stand. they empower us with a feeling of protection. gems do have the power to change, but the right ones for a body is not easy to find out, and the way they should be adminsitered in the body, only a few 'know in India. Prayers of course can change too, but not the amount we normally do. 64 malas is the basic which every normal person should do. For instance after 8 Crore recitatons, ones death is assured near a Pure river, like the ganges, on a auspicious tithi, and in proper pure sorroundings. It means that one has to do Jaap of one of these Mantra 12 Crore times to clear all the 12 Houses. And, additionally, if I am not wrong, one crore Jaap should be done in 40 days, isn't it? By the way to comlete 64 Malas of the Shodash Mahamantra cited, it takes 6 hours of non-stop recitation. For dwadashakshar 4 hours, and for ashtakshar 3 hours. If one recites name of " Ram " 1 Crore times, his first house is cleared. 12 Crores of recitation of " Rama " means 12 Houses of the Kundli cleared. This may take upto 6 years depending on the speed of the person doing the recitation. One more thing - is it also like that, that the first 1 Crore times Jaap will clear the first House, and then it will go to 2nd House OR it can start from inbetween also, like from 5th House or 6th House (and thus one never knows his which House has been cleared).
