Sade sati- calculated from Natal Moon or from Lagna

Hi All,

 

I have been coming across astrologers who would calculate sade sati

from natal moon basically i.e the rashi sign.

 

However, some of the western astrologers as well as Indian astrologers

also make sense when they describe it from lagna.

 

But which is to be given more importance? Or is it the thumb rule that

saturn transit thru 3,10 & 11 houses would better off than the other

whether it is calculated from Moon or lagna.

 

But I think rashi also plays a role here. I know someone of scorpio

ascendant with Leo sign in the 10th house (obviously) and saturn

placed in 10th house as well as current transit also being

so...left/had to leave his job, similar to the description here on

this page

Now the Question. What is the sade sati period for Virgo Ascendant

with Tula rashi. I am talking about myself of course, who is not

having a good time for past almost 3 years. Saturn is transiting my

12th house. And the next transit will be 12th from natal Moon.[ Oct 3,

1970; 5:40 AM, Jaipur (RAJ)]

 

And what is the reason that I am pulled into astrology so much, while

I want to move on...[ I dont see any career move in the offing after

immense struggles and wait so just end up gazing stars losing my

direction and drive also to a great extent]

universal sidhant is when Saturn moves on 12 from birth sign - sade

sati starts and when Saturn cross 2nd from birth sign it ends.

 

it depends 45% on placement and 55% on karma.

 

for example if one have Libra lagna and moon is also in tula rashi and

12 th lord mer is in mithun, and jup is having aspect on Virgo and

vinus is aspecting Tula or present their and mars is aspecting

Vrashchik rashi or present their , in this case Saturn will give very

less harm in starting only, rest more then 5 years will be almost ok,

but if one's karmas are worst then none of planet will not do advocacy

for client, punishment must be their.

Dear Niket,

 

Can you please give a quote in support of your statement that Sade

Sati pertains to the Lagna? My opinion differs, that Sade Sati

pertains to Chandra's location.

 

Of course an influence will be felt from BOTH. When Shani transits

one's lagna, there will be Saturn's influence (the specifics of which

must be determined from reading the kundli) on visible affairs. But

when Shani transits Chandra and her neighboring houses the effect is

even stronger for it affects one from the inside out.

dear vic, pls read my statement again, i never told sadesati belongs

to lagna, i just gave an example that if libra lagna and libra sign etc..

 

i wrote this is universal sidhant when saturn enter 12 from birth sign

and cross 2nd house from beirth sign it ends (eaxmple moon on 9th sign

sade sati will start when saturn will come on 8th sign and it will

end when saturn complete it's cycle on 10th sign i.e 2.5 years + 2.5

years + 2.5 years)

Okay so according to you, it is calculated from Lagna.

 

So currently I am in the 1st phase of sade sati as saturn is

transiting 12th house (sign Leo)now.

 

Isn't the placement of planets is also due to karma?

i think you also not read my statement, here birth sign doesnot mean

lagna, pls read it carefully. birth sign means placing of moon on the

time of birth on zodiac sign.

Dear Raushnee , Namaskar

 

Sade sati will cause various problem depending on its position (12/1/2)

from Lagna, Moon and Arudhapada. This also refers to tulya-varga, for

example if Moon is in Leo in D10 there is Sadesati for career.

Yes, I see. I think the confusion is that you call the Moon's position

a " birth sign " which we mistakenly took to mean Lagna.

Dear Raushnee,

I am ramesh from Andhra Pradesh.

I also have the same effects of sade sati. My lagna is Virgo and Moon sign is Libra.

D.O.B- 21/04/1970.

Time 16.30

Place of birth- Chirala,AP.

My problems started from may,2006.

I believe there is some connection between lagna and sade-sati.

I came across charts of two of my friends with same lagna and rashi and they are also facing same wrath. I observed that in all these cases, including yours, lagna is in the hasta nakshatra ( with Moon as lord)
