There are 5 maleifics, rahu, ketu, saturn, gulika and mandi having

rasi drishti on Upapada Lagna in the navamsa chart.

 

 

 

Donation of white gourd (PETHA) to either brahmin or outcastes/ low

class people in the bank of a holy river during three lunar or solar

eclipses will help alleviate the problem besides regular reciatation

of Mantra of Lord Ganesh for ketu affliction.

 

Ketu the 6th lord afflicting 7th cusp very strongly in rasi chart

having rasi drishti upon rahu thereby transferring its malefic

results to present antardasa lord rahu.

 

Sun and moon forming Amavasya yoga in 9th house of fortune and

dharma in rasi chart and passing on the effects to Upapada Lagna

through rasi lord Saturn.

Dear Dr Mohanan

The boy is born on Amavasya day with moon in satabhishanakshtra aspected by the

jupiter in swati 3rd lorded by swati in Thula sign.

Since lagna is raising in Punarvasu nakshtram and rahu is also in the same

nakstram,Rahu

in lagna can not be malefic.

Being a node Rahu takes the form of sign lord but influneced by Stellard lord.In

the case of Moon in satabhiosha in saturn  sign.It is mool trikona as well as a

trine being bhagya sthan canot also be malefic.Jupiter safeguards and makes the

native to be more spirtual and shed off the effects past karmas.

Now that the boy is running dasa of Mercury- venus, possibilty of marriage

arises around october 2010 in the antar of Mercury.

Problem seems to be arising due to placement of yogakarak planets in malefic

houses viz 5th lord in in friends house of saturn.9th lord in shadashtaka with

mars in enemy house.

I for one prefer to look the chart as kumbha(otherwise 9th) as lagna with moon

and venus as yogakarak planets.In the event venus in 12th with mercury will be a

better house to give results of 11th and ketu of 12thvrkrishnan
