Guest guest
The empiricists who believe in the direct evidence of " proof of the pudding is in the eating " which the modern Varahamihira of Jyotish, Late Prof. Raman used to quote frequently, may respond simply, " Because it just does...! " I realize that this is a very practical forum and focused on techniques and deliverables and readings and explanations thereof but like a cat I keep introducing my paw from under the sofa! Craving your indulgence, gentle folks! Those who have observed a kitten would know that it spends a lot of time in its imaginary game of hunting and stalking and pouncing and the way it plays hide and seek. Games that cats play may actually be survival tactics in its wild cousin: the tiger! The domestic cat when it stays hidden under a sofa can sense the urgent note in its caregiver's voice who is calling to find out where the pet is. The cat would just extend and stick out its paw to show where it is, quietly -- a pause from the drama that it is participating in with its hunting and stalking pastime. Similarly, treat these somewhat esoteric musings which to the pragmatist may sound like too philosophical and even meaningless, but I feel that we are more than technicians and at least some of us would need to sit back and put some thinking into what really connects these techniques and interpolations between the heavens and heavenly bodies out there and we all down here. Sceptics very quickly jump on there being no strong physical energy connections but maybe we all need to think and then look beyond the physical energies and connections. Even scientists are beginning to very gradually accept a lot of what would have been considered superstition in their coffee- breaks only a few years ago! So what is it that keeps astrology's engine humming and purring happily? In your opinion and observations? Rohiniranjan
