There seems to be a misunderstanding for vaidurya, the asterism effects is the main feature and from which family of gems it is from.Secondary choice is chrysoberyl, which I originally thought it to be this from the english translations, though it clearly states that Vaidurya is Lapis Lazuli. I had changed it to chrysoberyl because of its english description about the characteristics of the gem. Since I have had the sanskrit reference, everything is crystal clear now. As per the description given in Chapter 73 Garuda Purana, in the

description of Vaidurya, it is distinct to the group of the sapphire

(Padmaraga) family.

Please correct your info.
