Guest guest
Namaskar. I am working in an insurance company. and working in a department related to applied statistics/mathematics (actuarial dept) . I am also having a PG degree in Computers and Statistics. 1) Please advise which career path should I choose. (Actuarial Science[related to insurance and mathematics] or Information Technology). I am inclined towards both, but could not achieve worthwhile progress in either fields, till now. Please let me know which path will be more beneficial for me and whether I will get a foreign job assignment in that field. Thanks for the response in advance. My details are - DOB - 27/07/1972 Time - 00.25 hrs (00.25 am - after midnight of 26/07/1972) Place - Tiruchchirapalli (Tamil Nadu)
Guest guest
I see better success for the chart in the area which deals with finances, accounts as opposed to " IT " and communication-information type dealings. Try and see if you can find a job that utilizes your training and expertise but in a 'financial institution' setting or a " healthcare service " setting. The period between 5-mar-09 to July 31-09 will be pretty significant so please utilize the opportunities and challenges that cross your path then. You would need to take chances and show some leadership and initiative during that period. After July 2009 you will have a better possibility of going abroad and it could be for some advanced training. It will be a difficult period in terms of adjustment and learning so please do not get too panicky then. It will be a test of your endurance and inner strength. Positive or negative, you will look back on that period not defined simplistically as success or failure but learning and opening up to the spiritual side within yourself. All learnings and experiences acquired until August 2011 when you will be 39ish will be put to test in a practical sense when you will embark on a significant private venture of your own. It is very important for you to know yourself and to listen to your friends and advisors and those who give counsel that are older and more importantly those who remind in some way of your father or perhaps a teacher who had been very influential in your life. These could be way of thinking, some physical features, habits, mannerisms, neuroticisms etc. Do not overanalyze these but learn to go with your instincts. The more you analyze things within yourself, alone, the more you will get confused and make mistakes. One important element of your life-plan and learning in this lifetime is about loosening control and listening attentively to other people's advice. As they speak to you, absorb the information for sifting and figuring out things later on. You should avoid the tendency to start judging as soon as information begins to come in. One way to avoid this tendency if it exists is to distract the left brain! Give the monkey something to do, such as take down notes or whatever. In modern lingo it is called " active listening " . You may wish to explore that. It is something that can be learned through training oneself.
