Guest guest Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 Hi all group members I'm Hossein and have a big problem and want you to answer me You know in Vedic Astrology we select the lord of all 12 houses in the base of distances of all planets from the earth.It mean corresponding to the distance of planets from the earth(from nearest planet to forest) we select their lordship. For example , Moon is nearest planet to the earth,then it is the lord of Cancer-after that sun is nearest and then it is the lord of Leo-Then Mercury is lord of next sign(mithuna) and so on.Sa is the lord of Makara and Kumbha because of its distance from earth .But if we consider the new astronomy , we will see that sun is in the center and all planets turn around it and in this manner the earth isn't in the center of all planets and then we can't select nearest or forest planet and after that we can't tell for example Ma is the lord of Aries because in this manner we can't arrange an order for distance of planets from the earth because their distance every time will change, and then the lordship of planets will not be correct!! The center is formed by the projected sun which is planet earth and its nearest body moon. A sign on each side of the center is ruled by the planet based on their orbital distance from the real sun. Thus: 11 12 1 2 3 <<4 5>> 6 7 8 9 10 Astrology is a 'geocentric' phenomenon, that is why we include retrogression which is not a heliocentric phenomenon but geocentric. When we say sun is in leo, it is because earth is in aquarius (if observed from solar center) but from our geocentric vantage it appears as if sun is in leo. Some astrologers such as Michael Erlewine (MATRIX) have tried and propagated heliocentric astrology and have produced special ephemeris etc. Perhaps you may be interested in exploring that so do a search on google using the term heliocentric astrology.
