Guest guest
dear friends firstly, thanking the good words of tripathyji, i must state that this astrology group is number two in by membership and number one by those seeking remedies through astrology in and all astrologers contributing here are priviliged to be of serving the suffering and answering the querents through this great platform. few years ago there were very few members like RRji and vattem krishnanji who used to contribute a lot. later bhaskarji too contributed greatly but stopped now and i request him to have a forgive and forget approach and start contributing here as well. it would be myopic on my part if i do not make a special mention of this group moderator prashantji and his contributions. for those who are not aware of prashantji, he is an albino and have very poor eye vision and he takes great amount of stress while typing seeing the screen and he often makes typing mistakes in spellings because of his poor vision. but due to his dedicated sincerety in serving the members freely with the only thing he has that is astrological knowledge is by answering mails of most members which is difficult even for normal members like us. he was one of the twenty seven stars of the coveted astrology school of the great father of astrology b.v.raman and members shall benefit from his contributions. however, as any old member is aware, the moderator job is ungrateful and often carries with it a lot of criticism. an year ago this group witnessed most vulgar unparliamentary mails from fake IDs which makes the lord of mayas indra look smaller, but after prashantji became moderator, this is peaceful. accordingly, i appreciate members like RRji, krishnanji, yourself and others in your contributions and reducing the burden of the moderator. to prashantji, i can only advise him to condone any errings of few members and show kind heart to all by relaxing moderation slowly with an objective of making this group unmoderated soon. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " Mrutyunjay Tripathy " <astrologer_mrutyunjay wrote: > > Dear Arjun Ji, > > > Welcome after a long break. > > > Hope all friends and members will enjoy your company through your informative and wise postings. > > > With regards and best wishes, > > > Mrutyunjay Tripathy > > > with best wishes and blessings > > pandit arjun > > www.rudraksharemedy.com > > >

Guest guest
Dear Arjun jee, So nice to hear your voice again. " My Hardik Dhanyavaad " for your kind words regarding my insignificant contributions here, there and elsewhere. Regardless of whether this is first or second or whatever in popularity polls which as we all know are meaningless -- even at this celebration of varshaga(n)th of this wonderful community of ours (what else can it be called?), I continue to hold a 'fishbone' stuck in my gullet if I may use a 'bengali' expression! In this illuminated castle in which we all mingle and show kindness to each other, and rib at each other too and worse at times, sadly -- there remains one room that is closed and locked as in the proverbial CASTLE. The room is named " Systems Approach " , propagated by VK Choudhury. I do not follow it but would consider it closer to mainstream Jyotish than Krishnamurthy Paddhati which has some good 'pointers' as stated in my sharings, and some that are absolutely non-jyotish (Placidus cusps that are at the beginning of a house)! KP is welcome here but SA is not. At my repeated prodding, Tanvir once responded here publicly that the decision to lock out SA here was because of some of its overzealous followers and I fully understand and relate to all that myself -- trust me! TODAY, I think OUR JYOTISH_REMEDIES HOME has matured enough and has gained enough genuine solidarity and Camaraderie like NO OTHER FORUM has (that embraces and welcomes a variety of opinions and diverse ones that is!). I, therefore, place my humble plea once again for the administrators to consider to extend our inclusiveness and allow Systems Approach discussions. And if, some overzealous, arrogant ones try to over-sell their personal " interpretation " , we have a VERY strong Moderator in situ as I believe the term is for 'in place' and sincere and serious members around who have low tolerance for ingenuinity! Guest guest
Dear dada, if so called system approach encourages and adds to proffesionalism, certianly it is a consolation to retain it. KP ofcourse is difficult to jusify for group and collective wisdom.if some body wants more clarity and certainity I suggest for individual consideration through KP. Jyotish in it;s conventional form is best and can be explored further with collective efforts. Interest in jyotish has certainly increased many fold in common people irrespecyove of caste, creed and religion.Eevn sideral concepts too are very broad and mixing up with wisdom of the sages may some times lead to unwanted issues.we have already issues like ayanamsa etc.Better we concentrate for our general purposes the traditional knowledge Time to cheer about the completion of the 7th year and ceratinly credit goes to you as a very active and senior member vrkrishnan --- On Fri, 3/20/09, Rohiniranjan <rohini_ranjan wrote: Rohiniranjan <rohini_ranjan Re: to all members Friday, March 20, 2009, 9:42 PM Dear Arjun jee, So nice to hear your voice again. KP is welcome here but SA is not. I, therefore, place my humble plea once again for the administrators to consider to extend our inclusiveness and allow Systems Approach discussions. Guest guest
dear RRji your suggestion of allowing systems approach is endorsed and requested to the group owner and moderator through this mail, as it is a derivation of the same ancient astrology with its own modern technique. albeit kp and sa have their own groups, this is a broad jyotish group where all must be accommodated. but since that is a lone school and have their own group, answering mails through that system and even disucssing the subject must be fine with all members except that their propagators must not try to show that theirs is the only best system. the group owner and moderator may give systems approach a chance as part of the general jyotish and may diasllow if their practitioners do not believe in mutual coexistence of all other systems. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , " Rohiniranjan " <rohini_ranjan wrote: > > Dear Arjun jee, > > So nice to hear your voice again. Guest guest
Krishnan ji, I think SA is closer to mainstream jyotish than KP. KP uses a house-system that was imported from western astrology (Placidus) including the convention of using the cusp as the beginning of a house and not bhav madhya as utilized in jyotish. The yoking or linking of vimshottari dasha system with nakshatra division was a brilliant revelation however people indicate that some of those were not original but derived from earlier nakshatra texts (Meena's for instance). Like other systems and techniques, the sub theory (which has now evolved into SUB-Sub-sub classifications) does not work all the time particularly individuals who are not responsive to vimshottari dasha. Not everyone responds to the tune of vimshottari as I am sure people know. SA on the other hand relies nearly completely on standard jyotish principles with certain idiosyncracies. I do not believe it should be punished because of a few overzealous proponents. We have many of those amongst mainstream jyotish as well and like comets they pass by and pay us visits from time to time, as we have witnessed! When confronted they either get overly emotional or abusive, both being aberrant behaviour, candidly put!
