I'm looking for some guidance from learned members of this group. 1. I'm a s/w professional working from 2 to 21/2 years. I was not getting enough recognition in the first 1 yr but after some hard work and determination i managed to get some appreciation and now i'm considered imp person in team. They applied visa for me and it was rejected last year around jun-jul. This is a blow to my development in career. Though my managers are willing to send me abroad i have no visa(for US) and cant reapply for 1 yr. Now situations changed and no chance of reapplying for some time. Now my project getting over some news abt layoffs is going on. Can you tell me whether change of job is good for me? How about abroad chances? I also want to try other countries like singapore. Will this work out? can i also start business with my dad?(only as additional thing to job and not leaving my main job.) 2. I love a girl who is elder to me by 2 months. My family is traditional and all are against this. I dont want to hurt my parents. They are processing visas and sending my juniors who don't really work as much as i do and have less experience than me in the same team. But when i ask they are giving lame excuses which makes me disheartened. Seeing all this I'm not liking to continue to work here . I also tried singapore but did not work out.
