Guest guest
Dear Kumar ji, Your advice is very sage and in a sense nothing unique. Astrologers and teachers of many, as long as I have known Jyotisha (and other fields too) have utilized this very approach and demonstrated. Whether it is BV Raman ji or KN Rao ji, or Krishnamurthy ji or Khot ji or PVR Narasimha ji and many others have *made* time and written and given examples after examples to show rather than anything else! This is the rational and scientific approach and if any of us wish to claim that Jyotish is science then they should be following the same approach. I realize that some would thumb their noses at what I just wrote and point out that Parashara or Varahmihira or Satyacharya or Garga or others including the more recent astro-experts (Kalidasa or Mukund Vallabh etc) did not illustrate their writings and principles with a single horoscope (I believe Satyacharyaa gave a half example!) but if the workbooks and part of their writings were lost in transmission or translation or some greedy person may be sitting on those heirlooms which may be getting enjoyed by termites and ants (the insect kind!) as we speak, then that would not be the fault of the Sages! Rice, milk, a touch of elaichi, some nuts if you are feeling rajasic, fire and careful attention over time -- with just the right amount of sugar (I personally like jaggery or Gur because it is so GOOD, particularly from the Khazoor, date palm!). The recipe for 'pudding' as some like to call it is so simple, though the attention and effort does mean some investment! But why invite good people to your home if you are just going to toss a bag or rice, a cow, sugarcane and expect them to entertain themselves? That in my books is being inhospitable -- very counter to Indian culture which treats athitis and guests as God!! If I said too much, my apologies to all, elder and younger!
