Guest guest
Dear Suresh babu I have retained just ur last part of the mail and also changed the topic/subject line DON'T GET CONFUSED BY WHAT U SAW there it is so thruoight the world where church is spreading. Pope John Paul II had clearly told the church to follow ethnic and tribal aspects to be used liberaly in the faith propogation and they use VEDA for bible now they had in past ridiculed Suprabhata but now have suprabhata [morning wake up prayer for the lord a la Sri Venketeswara, raghavandrea, Shiva, Hanuman, Shirdi sai baba etc. in the ear;y days of Pope Paul II i saw a TV drama of crucification in Chennai where they had show christ being taken on the cross up hill and not crucified on the hill but all along the way Nadaswaram, harathi being given to him with the usual arathi prayers whisch is blasphmaous in real sense as the crucification, the subsequent resurection can;t be diluted so easily but this is how it has been shown that Hinduism and the chrch have simiar approaches deepasthama, arathi, bhakans [mot choirs] deeksha but just check if they will eat the prasadam u give them if u feel they r similar try asking them for lunch at ur place they will make sure u did not give it as Naivadyam to our Lord/s and only then will they eat, invariably they r told not to eat in Hindu houses as theyir food is offered to their gods [inferior ones] so it is polluted. the mouse maids most of them have converted in sough India across many states and they will never eat any food even if u give it straight from the stove. but christians from the past periods r more open and they choose and are liberal and surely it is no longer the the old order of Kenya, Ethiiopian where the purer for of church practices still prevail now church needs ppl to man churches across the world with 2% in Europe, 1 % is USA and may be 3-5 % in Australia, NZ many countires have one prest to man a feww districts be it baptism or funeral in many cass they have allowed people who can read the verses in the bible for such jobs to take over the role for the day, many countires have counties closing down churches and re using the space for other activities. as a lockd place is used by miscrients, anti-social elements of any faith, there is only one religion now that is agridisement, materialism, consumerism. so don't get confused by sumbolic images. Prashant Namasthe, .. This is evident from what is happening to christianity or should I say Churchianity in Kerala. Christains in kerala are slowly turning to hinduism their origin. Practically all the churches have deepa sthambha and they try to mimick hindu festivals. Most of the churches are built very near to temples. Malayattur is a mimickery of sabarimala. Most of them have abandoned their traditional dressings and wear more like hindus. Even their names are hindu names. It might be clever ruse to whoo the Hindu community but I am tend to think this phenomena as a reversal of thinking. Though this is not the point of discussion, i reffered to it only to discount the loosing a civilisation to another culture. This is not to hurt you in any way. Guest guest
Not only in kerala but also in TN and AP Charriot procession, wearing of sandal tilak, lighting of lamps, kolam in the front yard. Now we have to tell our children that vedas meen chatur veda and not bible. In tamilnadu they have started vedagama school. But the best way to counter this is practising Hinduism. Actually 1. We are not practising Hinduism. Havans, Poojas have come down. 2. Village temples are neglected. Our swamijis are busy in cities. Only Sri Jeyendra saraswathi, Saibababa went to villages and that is why targetted. ( The third is Ramakrishna mission which is doing silently and also the RSS affliated institutions) Hence villages are targetted by church. 3. Treat Harijans as your own brothers. I have seen how they are ill treated in rural TN and AP. If we dont allow our own brothers equal right, how can we prevent them going to other religions. 4. Teach young children your religion. I am seeing all christian kids in chennnai attending the " Vedagama " classes in summer. all churches are conducting. Though temples cannot conduct classes because we are SECCUULLAARR, why dont we organise for our children. 5. I recently chanced upon an article by Kanchi Paramacharya late sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi titled " require Ahimsa Soldiers " . The gist is A soldier is ready to die for his cause and will not let a single inch of his mother land. The ahimasa part is that he will not attack other religion but protect his religion by practising it and help his society practise it. " If we practise our religion and help the nearby community practise, then swami says automatically leaders will emerge. we have faced malikkafur and Aurangazeb. but vijayanagar and shivaji came. When jainism threatened then adishankara and thirugnana sambanda came. If we dont practise then dont expect miracles. The lord is both bayakruth and bayanasana. ( forgive my sanskrit) He has created the fear for us to be agressive in our religion. If we practise the religion then he will be baya nasana.
