Guest guest Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Namaste thnks a lot for such a valuable advice. i never find so much info together. i read it very carefully and able to understand that astrology is not just reading few books and finding solution on its own. one has to put lots of effort to gain knowledge in due coarse of time. knowing i can not imply astrology knowledge on my case because it is so vast. can u tell me about my and fiancee match? are we compatible match? people said i m so unfortunate that whomsoever i go i will ruin his life, i will not able to lead happy married life. i will suffer divorce,separation, miscarriage problmes, is it so? i dont wanna ruin anyones life, specially him. he is struggling for his career. he considers me as 'lady charm' and have lots of hope that things will improve if we'll get married. he had gr8 loss in few years back he has somehow manage to stand and moving on. u said " ..it also becomes a matter of weighing gains & losses. While some astrologers out of their sincerity stand adamant in their opinion other may like to be practical and shut their eyes even though a few problems are visible. It also depend hugely on situations. For specific understanding on each type of factors you can refer astrology texts. Matching of horoscopes & its concept. Marriage in India is considered very sacred and is generally a life time involvement and is never intended to be divorced. It is also based solidly on a high amount of philosophical values and off course material ones also.. That is why matching is given such high importance in India Astrology. It is also a wrong myth that couples with perfect matching shall have a perfect married life. A well matched horoscope simply means that these persons are destined to live together, enjoy happiness / sorrow together etc. as an added benefit other factors like financial, children, health, sickness, life of marriage etc. In fact if you shift the focus from life of two people to life of marriage / partnership, the concept will be clearer and surprisingly you can use the same concept in other partnership situations like in business. I shall try to give concisely the process of matching. There are various factors that are considered in the process and conclusion is reached based on experience. These factors also differ according to the system followed in each region. However, the basic concept remains the same. Most important and popularly used 1) Nakshatra based compatability 2) Papa samya – based on the malefic planets afflicting the 7th house 3) Dasa sandhi – based on vimsottari dasa (other dasas may also be considered for conformation of effects) 4) Rina-dhana compatability : based on relationship of planets. Less popular but used in some regions. 1) Mriga : Based on the classification of nakshtras & animals 2) Pancha bhoota : based on pancha bhootha classification of nakshatras 3) Ashta varga : based on Ashta varga points. 4) Gotra : based on Gotra (lineage classification) of nakshatras 5) Aya – vyaya : based on profit & loss classification 6) Varna : Based on the classification of nakshatras & Varna (Brahmana, kshatriya, vaisya & shoodra) 7) Bird : based on the classification of Nakshtras & birds 8) Vaya – age difference. 9) Chaulanukulyam 10) Pandyanukulyam Summary of all the above is evaluated and a conclusion is reached in determining the matching of horoscope. What one has to remember is no marriage can be considered 100% perfect. This means there could shortfall in some of the factors like a) general relationship between couples – which may termed as love life or affection to each other b) financial condition after marriage (excluding dowry and such gains) c) Children, their health, prosperity, character & quality, numbers d) Health of couples e) Span of marriage – considered in terms of life span of one or both person. Apart from the above, today an astrologer is burdend with such aspects like job prospects, education and many irrelevant to the concept of marriage but considered more relevant in materialist life as focused today. The concept of marriage and for that matter Indian philosophy of life can be better understood if we look at the most important statement in astrology " Mana porutham sarvadhanaal pradhanam " . Compatibility of mind is more important that every thing else. Else what ? all the above computed compatibilities. Does it mean if mental compatibility exists, every other factor would be all right and they will prosperous? NO it simply is a bold declaration that the couples understand and undertake that they shall bear any consequences whether good or bad, but live together. However, in real life we know that love is only fiction of mind and most of it based on fantasy. When the fantasies are over, the hard realities of life open up and couples realize that this is not what they had perceived. In fact, aged people know that relationship materializes into love & affection over a period of time when the couples hold together through good & bad times. Unfortunately, today young people do not realize this basic constitution of a relationship. That is why the astrology has given a special weighteage to look into compatibility of horoscopes. Explanation of factors Nakshatra Koota : this checking considers such factors like nakshtra, such factors based on nakshtra as gana, yoni etc, rasi (Chandra rasi is most considered) , lord of rasi etc, distance of Chandra Nakshatra of the male from the Chandra nakshatra of the female horoscope. The number of conditions checked varies from region to region. In kerala 8 such factors are checked and add to this two more factors like veda & reju dosha makes the total number to 10. in north India about 40 are checked. 1) Rasi 2) Adhipathy 3) Vashyam 4) Mahendram 5) Gana 6) Yoni 7) Deena 8) Stree deergha 9) Reju dosha 10) Veda dosha Apart from these a) nakshtra pada dosha like , 64 pada, 88 pada, 108 pada is also checked b) Nadi based on nakshtra All the above depends on fixed factors and practically there is no need for analysis and hence can be presented in terms of points Papa samya. This is the most complex. Though points are considered, they affliction, their total effects can only be evaluated by an experienced astrologer. Here exceptions sited also should be considered before a final verdict is given. This is where the opinion of most of the astrologers differ either because exceptions are not considered or due to weighteage given by individual astrologers – may be due to their lack of knowledge or experience – which is not easy to find out. Basicaly this factor takes the malefic planets in the seventh of both horoscope , and other factors as given below a) 7th from lagna, Chandra & venus are considered. b) Malefic in the 4th & 8th of venus c) In female horoscope malefic planet in the 8th house is specifically considered since this is considered as Mangalya sthana. The word mangalya implies that she should die before her husband with her mangalya sootra. Hence, if there are no malefic planets in the 8th house, it is generally considered that her husband shall live longer than her. The chart should be studied in total to verify this further. Dasa Sandhi This depends of the dasa in effect of both couples. If the changes within a year in both horoscopes, this is considered as sandhi period. Here also, an astrologer should consider the malefic effects of the oncoming dasa, maraca factors etc. dasa of malefic if starts in this sandhi period may bring consideral hardships, illness, dangers and even death to either one or both of couples. This is actual experience and considered very important in kerala. Kuja – rahu sandhi during this period (one year) if happens in either horoscopes should be considered very dangerous unless other good factors like benefic aspects, strong lagna lord , vargottamasa etc which point to long life span of both exists. Sandhi of benefic planets if they are not having maraca afflictions of kendradhipathya dosha may be less dangerous but some health issues can be expected. In some region the sandhi period of only six months is considered while this is not considered at all in yet other regions. Rina – dhana These are considered as factors that point to even an existing relationship from previous life of the couples. Hence if factors are strong, we can assume that the relationship is strong inspite of the lower number of points and other malefic issues cited earlier and they will marry Though many factors are given to check this, the most important are these. a) Chandra lagna in one horoscope should be in the 7th of the other, in the rasi occupied by the 7th lord, its navamsa, its ucha rasi or neecha rasi. b) Similarly check from lagna and venus c) Similarly check from other horoscope. More number of such relationship points to a firm compatibility and is considered very good. Always remember that there are many exceptions cited for most of the factors. This is what makes the matching a more complex affair. Since it is extremely difficult and near impossibility for a 100% perfect match, it also becomes a matter of weighing gains & losses. While some astrologers out of their sincerity stand adamant in their opinion other may like to be practical and shut their eyes even though a few problems are visible.
