Gurujans,

What should one do with shani yantra. Can we keep it at home. I got it from

Saturn temple in maharashtra when I was running sade sati few years back. I am

not doing any puja on it now

Someone gave me a right facing Shankh from Rameshwaram. How should I use it in

puja. Please throw some light

Thanks in advance

Namasthe,

Normaly you can keep both at home.

How is Yantra made?. was there any specific sankalpa when you got it, such as

pooja has to be done every day etc?.

Right facing Sankha is considered to be representing Mahalaxmi. Hence it would

be better if you keep it near Maha Vishnu in the pooja room.

I persume, you are not wearing the Yantra on you / or in such a form.

Saturn Yantra should be kept near Saiva deities & particularly near Lord

Hanuman.

There is no need to do daily poojas for yantra if such sankalpa was not there.

Lighting a lamp in front of it is more than enough.

namaste Sir,

Thank you for kind reply. I am not wearing. It is made on copper. I got ir from

shani shinaganapur, when I went there during my sade sati. I was told to keep in

puja room. I kept for a long time. after that I moved from place to place, I

just kept it inside. So I want to know whether I can keep it or I should give it

away.

Thank you

Dear Gurushanker,

Yes, You can definitely keep it in your home and light a lamp in front of it.

Only point is see if it developed any oxidation. If it is damaged in any way,

you should not keep it.

If it is only minor oxidation without damage to the plate or the yantra

inscription, you can clean it by immersing it water and cleaning with " Sikakay "

powder. DO NOT USE SOAP OR CHEMICALS. " Sikakay " is powder from a fruit and brown

in color. You should clean it gently without damaging the inscription.

The copper plate usually is said to retain its chaitanya for only one year.

Hence, you have to get it reenergised at a sani temple or by doing sani pooja at

home with this yantra.

However, I have seen many copper yantras with very strong chaitanyas even after

long years during Prasnas.

I case it is damaged, it is better if you ask a local priest to remove whatever

chaitanya that is left and throw it in a running stream of water such as rivers.

This process is called " Udvasana "

I hope this helps you.

Dear Sir,

I have a " Bhairav yantra " with me given to me by a jyotish. I think it is made

of a leaf (not sure becoz on touching it feels like a old hard paper). I just

want to know where i should keep it (with me or in the temple) and how should i

worship it.

Many thanks,

Deepak
