Guest guest
Dear Member, > > as per BPHS , gandanta doshas are the to considered independtly and irrespective of birth details... > > > > however , please note the following for your persual > > > > time - 17:52:26 > > place - calcutta , west bengal > > date - 1 nov 1982 BPHS as we know today, only provides a small portion of a much bigger subject which is Muhurtha. pls read on to understand it further BPHS: " tithi nakshatra lagnaanaaM gaNDaantaM trividhaM smR^itam janma yaatraa vivaahaadau bhavettannidhanapradam.. " One must remember three types of Gandanta namely tithy, nakashatra & lagna. These are death inflicting in case of Janma-birth, Yatra-Travel and Vivaha-Marriage. The above explains that the three type of Gandantas should be considered and these can cause death in case birth of new born, travel and marriage. If you look closely, two of the above relate to Muhurtha and by logic the other should also relate to the janma Muhurtha of the new born. In short, the effect is should materialize within a short period of time. It also implies that the effect of such gandanta muhurtha can be overridden by other factors in due course of time. This does not mean, implications will not have its own effects in later life. Now what is tithy gandanta? puurNaanandaakhyayostithyoH sandhau naaDiichatuShTayam adha uurdhvam cha maitreya tithigaNDaantamuchyate.. The bottom 2 ghatis of Poorna thithies and upper 2 ghatis of Nanda thirties are gandantha tithy gandanta. Totaling to 4 ghatis. Tithies are classified as Poorna tithies are Panchami, Dashami, Amavasya/ Pournami Nanda tithies are Prathama, Shashti, Ekadasi Badra tithies are Dviteeya, Saptami & dwadasi Jaya tithies are Triteeya, Ashtami, & Trayodasi Rikta tities are Chaturthi, Navami & Chaturdasi Chidra tithies are Chaturthi, Navami & Chaturdasi. The confusion here is regarding Amavasya & Pournami. And whether it is begening or end of those tithies. Pournami is regarded as auspicious in almost all muhurthas. However, Amavasya due to the weak paksha bala of Moon, is considered most inauspicious. Madhaveeya an authentic text on Muhurtha says, " raashitithitaarakaanaaM gaNDaantaM jaladhiviShayanavamaante tratrobhayato naaDyaH shashiguNasharasammitaastaajyaH.. " The last part of Karkata, Vrischika & meena, first part of Mesha, Simha & Dhanu are rasi Gandantha. Last part of Panchami, dasami, Amavasya and the first portion of Pratipada, Shahsti, & Ekadasi are tithy gandanthas, 3 ghatis (1hr.12mn) each. Last part of Aslesha, keta & revati and first part of Aswati, Magha & Moola are Nakshtra Gandanthas. Narada Samhita. " paryaayatvena viGYeya neShTamadhyeShTadaaH site kR^iShNapakshe.apiiShTamadhyaneShTadaaH kramashaH sadaa.. " If you divide the tithies into groups of 5 each this is what you get. KR.PRATIPAD, KR.DVITIYA, KR.TRITIYA, KR.CHATURTHI, KR, PANCHAMI KR.SASHTI, KR.SAPTAMI, KR.ASHTAMI, KR.NAVAMI, KR.DASAMI KR.EKADASI, KR.DVADASI, KR.TRAYODASI, KR.CHATURDASI, AMAVASYA SU.PRATIPAD, SU.DVITIYA, SU.TRITIYA, SU.CHATURTHI, SU PANCHAMI SU.SASHTI, SU.SAPTAMI, SU. ASHTAMI, SU.NAVAMI, SU.DASAMI SU.EKADASI, SU.DVADASI, SU.TRAYODASI, SU.CHATURDASI, PURNIMA The above is classified as Starting with Krishna Paksha Subha, Madhya Ashubh Ashubh Madhya Subha So you can see that the gandantha between Purnima & Krishna Pratipada is actually Subha & hence not considered inauspicious. While Gantantha between Amavasya & Sukla Pratipad is inauspicious. So one can see that the tithy gantantha in your chart is very least and need not be given much importance. Further it is emphasized in all the Muhurtha texts including Narada Samhitha that even if there a single benefic planet like Jupiter, venus or mercury, such afflictions are nullified. To satisfy your curiosity I am also providing the propitiation method. It is written that if the birth is in the later half of the Gantantha (Which in this case is), Child & mother should take and do the poojas for the deity of the tithy. Deity for Purnima is Chandra. You have to make a idol of gold for Chandra and do the poojas with kalasha & avahana. Havana for the deity with homa dravya like, wood, grains & ghee also should be done. At the end Brahmins should be fed and a Bullock should be offered as dana to a needy person. A very costly affair now-a-days. I personally would advice you to do somavara vritha. As far as your chart is concerned, Jupiter, Venus in own rasi and hence powerfull and mercury is aspecting moon. Hence, this affliction is nullified. The problems you may be having is definitely not due to tithy gantantha but due to other factors such mars in the 8th along with ketu and aspected by Saturn and 5 planets in the 6th of lagna.
