Other than Mantras the following 2 stotras can be recited for sun. 1. Aditya Hridhayam. For diction buy the casette of Anantarama deekshitar 2. Kolaru thiruppadigam - Use seergali govindarajan casette for diction. If you could tell why exactly the mantra is required for sun, i will tell the required thevaram for reciting. Like for Shiva, there is both panchakshari/shadakshari mantra for general purpose & Mahamrityunjay Mantra for specific purpose. Similarly for Krishna, there are several mantras for several purposes--unless you ask what is the application of the mantras/reasons for application, it will be difficult to workout. Further, in a public forum, one should not ask for mantras, as they lose energy. It must be sought from a Guru or a Siddhapurush. Thank you, Gaurav. , " GK. Finding a right guru has become almost impossible these days and that too for NRI like me it is not happening. I wish to get Krishna mantra for JOB satisfaction. Kolaru thiruppadigam - I like it.I memorized it .But I don't know the ritual to be done before proceeding with that. Please do send links to tamil slokas and their directed usage so that I can recite them properly. Sanskrit is a language common to Hindus and the language is not anybody's mothe tongue and the very sound itself has powerful effect. The mantras are not created by anybody but which were already there in the universe. The maharishis have by their supreme knowledge, heard them and given to the world. They hence called drishtva ( one who saw) and not kartha ( one who created) of that mantra. Why i said tamil to you because there certain prayers ( not mantras, they are called stotras) are available for the requested sun worship. Tamil has somevery powerful stotras on Saraswathi ( Sakalakalavalli Malai) , on siva Thevaram, on vishnu Divyaprabandam etc. Simillarly in hindi Hanuman Chalisa etc. Please do not descriminate between tamil and sansakrit.
