I have a new yellow sapphire ring. I am in USA . As I didn't get a job from many

years my mother's astrologer in India suggested me to wear yellow sapphire or

kanaka pushyaraag on right index finger in Guru hora

which is at 7.30 am on sat 22 august. My star is chitta.

1)****I don't know how to calculate guru hora according to USA timings. Please

help me to select correct guru hora timings according to USA with out

durmuhurtham or bad timings .Right now I am in minneapolis, USA and Sunrise on

22nd august 2009 is at 5: 23 am according to our local calendar.

|| Om gurave namah ||Dear Krithik,  At sunrise on Guru vaara ( Thursday) it will be guru Hora for 1 hour from sunrise. Add 7 Hours to sunrise then you will get the starting time for the 2nd Guru hora in Thursday.

 Add 7 more hours you will get the 3rd and so on. Example if Sunrise at 6 the Guru hora6AM to 7AMnext13:00 Hrs to 14 Hrsnext at 20:00 Hrs to 21Hrs etcJust in case you want for other days on Saturday the first hora will be Saturns and so on for other week days.

Hora is nothing but consider it as eqv. to HOUR for the time being. It is of 60

minutes duration. Counting start from the time of Sunrise. On every saturday,

HOra starts with day lord i.e. Saturn in this case (because of Saturday), 2nd

Hora will always be of Jupiter/Guru on every saturday, it goes on for other days

and planets. So Add one hour to the time of Sunrise and the time you will get

will be the starting time of Guru hora of one hour duration. In India, all

Panchangam (Almanac) usually contain information of Hora, popularly known as

Hora Chakram. I hope it will help you.

When calculation of hora is concerned, then first of all you take your sunrise

of local time and also sun set of the same locality. It comes as DINMAN,

duration of time between sunrise and sunset.  Take the difference in between

sunrise and sun set and answer should be divided by 2.  Then whatever figure

arives, it should be divided by 7 and the answer figure is the hora hour/time. 

Get added to your sunrise. 

Horas are fixed by one alternate daylord.  Means on Sunday first Hora is of Sun

and day alternate day prior to sunday is Friday, so 2nd hora will be of shukra,

then day alternate prior to friday will be wednesday so 3rd hora will be

Mercury, and as like

Horas are fixed in

RAVI, SHUKRA, BUDH, SOM/CHANDRA, SHANI, GURU, MANGAL

Kala Hora: 6 am LMT -> Muhurta.

Dear Guru Ji,

Namaskar

1) Satya hora: Sunrise time for birth charts –It is clear.

2) Regarding Kala hora 6 AM LMT (Local mean time) which is irrespective of

Sunrise time because Kala won't follow Sun, mean won't follow satya. Then how it

is used for Muhurta? Its usage means Muhurtas are not satya. [May be due to its

variation with Greenwich time zone]

3) Mahakala hora 6 AM LST (Local sideral time) for Prasna. LST is generally

expressed as hours, minutes and seconds without mentioning year, month and date,

because in sideral timescale the year is one day longer than that for standard

timescale, If it is so, Prasna is sooth (sathya) then how it is linked with

Mahakala. Thus and so on I got confused and trying to understand at least why

Kala hora for Muhurta and Maha kala for Prasna. Why not reverse?

Please kindly excuse me for these novice thoughts.
