Dear Astrologers,

 

I would like to know in detail the effects of Gulika in Lagna, especially the

remedies for the same. I did not obtain much information from a search in the

internet, except what confirms my experience that it's malefic in nature. The

prediction - that it will give a difficult childhood and improper development of

the physical body is true in my case. Now that I am aware of this effect in my

horoscope, kindly advise on the effective remedies.

Those aurdha from where

 

Gulika comes in 3rd or 11th

 

or afflicting those houses and planets closely

 

indicate giving or taking of poison by the native.

 

No body does it with good intentions ever.

Dear Mr Hariharan,

Gulika as upagraha of saturn in lagna may lead physical disablities and not very

good health with fevers and yet times pnuemonia like problems.otherwise not

necessary that Gulika in lagna in your case tend to give same kind of problems.

This chart has fairly good visionaries that ensures a better life ahead.Sun in

lagna in navamsa and improved moon in simha navamsa must lead to a healthy life

and the native having all round activities.

Remedies to Saturn due to presence in debilited cancer will help.Vishnu sahsra

nama parayana on modays and and Siva panchakshari stotram on Thursdaye will help

in over coming problems if any due to presence of Gulika in lagna.

Dear Hari,

 

It is no doubt that Gulika in the lagna signifies deficiencies, whether it is

physical – Internal or external or even mental. However it is also said that

Gulika in the Lagna confers raja yoga. May it is balancing act of god – to

reduce one thing and increase another.

 

Gulika is considered " preta " and Jupiter's (as paramatma) association indicates

sayujya of the soul. Hence, Jupiter's association reduces the blemish

considerably.

 

The primary question is are you experiencing any of effects at present given

that you have grown up. Do not find fault with Gulika for every problem you

might be facing.

 

Gulika here is aspected by Mars : can cause accidents, fear from fire,

electricity, lightening, acids – related with heat. Since it is in the Kendra of

Mercury, Venus also, can cause jaundice etc. It is in the sign of Dhanu, thighs

of kala purusha. Hence weakness of thighs or any problem there might prevail

Since Jupiter is affected, being karaka for progeny, speech, body middle part,

these should also be evaluated.

 

The solution is Vishnu pooja, reciting Vishnu Sahasranama etc. If you are

shaivate – Shiva Sahasranama will also do

 

Gulika is also taken as Sarpents. In which case you will have difficulties

pertaining to progeny, general initiative in work (becomes lethargic / lazy). In

which case, rahu pooja, durga pooja (particularly since mars is aspecting)

should be remedy pursued.

Dear Sri Mrutyunjay,

 

You mentioned taking poison. I am not sure whether it is related, but I have had

acute suicidal tendencies in the past. (once, it was through regular chanting of

holy Vishnu Sahasranamam that I was able to tide over that bad period without

committing suicide).

 

But now I tend to get mentally disturbed frequently, with thoughts of killing

off someone who has been causing me acute mental distress. (Not a truth to admit

in a public forum, I know). I have been trying to overcome such thoughts through

various ways, including involving in spiritual activities more and more and

living all to God. I would like to know whether these are caused due to GULIKA

effect, and if so whether remedies would help.

We have been following mails about Gulika in lagna.In our Keral system of

jyotidam we give lot of importance to upagrhas also.These upagrahas have role

like stellar applications and bahva determination.Being lagna we always consider

as first house known for physical traits and carries importance from the point
