I have also read elsewhere that black urad or black til (sesame seed) should be donated on Saturday for Shani related issues. Guest guest Posted October 7, 2009 Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 Hello mr Shailendra, In remedial aspects of Astrology,the general approaches are to use tantric method,mantra method and also lalkitab methods. often it is found most of the methods elucidated in lalkitab are of tantric ways and deviation here and there.indicate the remdies are also based on different cultures like tazik etc. For pitru devatas and other negative forces,the cure is made by balck sesame seeds and some other ways mostly when moon is moving towards krishna pakasha days. Colour balck as per mantras indicate black used for adoring sani devta,part of nagaraha.here also the method is when shani is worshipped by way of abhishekam and tila daan(black seeds) it is advised to take baath before worship and also after wards.Any prasad offered to Shani is distributed then and there and not carried home. yet some pandits also viiew that it can be ataken and taken.Photo or idols of kaal Bhairav ,shani and other ksudra devatas are nor mally not worshipped in homes like other devtas. Shani with balck vastras and til by way of mantras is worshipped and suggested.Priests do worship and also recieve daanas.other do not take in respect of offering made to navgrhas devtas. For kshudra devtas mantras are recited and offerings are made by way of pinda daa of different types.In this balck til is only to be used.Most of these pujas are done in wet clothes. The approaches for appeasemnt and worship as per yajur veda for shnati swaroops and sakti devtas differ.Accordingly the ingredients too are not usual ones.like earthern pots being used with coal and other incesense is common.Mosly it is tantric ways and on usually on Amvasya day. Normal pujas are for gana devatas and other Bhagawans /ishta devtas.Black color in any way is for shani.colors are also deployed as remedies by wearing a particulalr color like green for mercury,red for sun and yellow for jupiter etc. It is different now a days black has become a trend /fashion.yet in worship black and other colorclothes are used.
