Dear Sarajit,

>> I project to create and publish a magazine -

>> " Vedic Astrology " for Russian-speaking people,

>> which will spread knowledge of Jyotish and

>> other Vedic Science in Russian language.

> Please check out the lessons on Hora by pt. Sanjay Rath

> to get an overview of use of Hora in muhurtha determination.

============================== Quote =============================

Use of Hora

1. The Hora has a direct influence on the houses and this

knowledge is extensively used by the intelligent astrologer in

planning his activities.

2. All activities started during the Hora ruled by the Lord of the

related Bhava (House) in the birth chart shall surely fructify.

3. Similarly, activities started during the Hora of the Badhakesh

from the concerned Bhava shall suffer obstruction and activities

started during the Hora of the Rogesh (8th Lord) from the concerned

Bhava shall suffer annihilation.

Assignment & Task

2. Write a project or report concerning your work starting during

the Hora of the Lord of the tenth house in your chart.

4. Will you ever write a book or teach Jyotish? If so, during

which Hora should you give the Guru Mantra to your students? Does

this have a link to the Bhava or the Arudha Pada of the Bhava?

============================== Quote =============================

" 2. All activities started during the Hora ruled by the Lord of

the related Bhava (House) in the birth chart shall surely fructify. "

So, should I start this undertaking during the Hora ruled by the

Lord of the 5th bhava (i.e. Shukra-Hora for my Jamna kundali with

Mithuna Langa), should I?

" 2. Write a project or report concerning your work starting during

the Hora of the Lord of the tenth house in your chart. "

As well, I can start this undertaking during the Hora ruled by the

Lord of the 10th bhava in my kundali (Guru), can I?

" 4. Will you ever write a book or teach Jyotish? If so, during

which Hora should you give the Guru Mantra to your students? Does

this have a link to the Bhava or the Arudha Pada of the Bhava? "

Or is it better to start during the Hora ruled by the Lord of the

A-5? I think no, because we don't need external (manifested) results,

but internal (genuine) fruits.

> Why don't you attempt to get a muhurtha and share it with the list,

> so that we can share our views on the same.

Thank you, but firstly I would like to make clear all

uncertainties.

> what should be done in stated time: announcement

> of the magazine, printing of first copy,

> sending first copies to subscibers by post, or else?

I think that printing of first copy should be done,

because " birth " of printed material is its appearance of first number.

Thank you

Muhurta

Dear ,

I am attempting to determine a good wedding muhurta given constraints put on

by the marriage couple.

Is it better to have a muhurta with:

a. weak FB planets but no afflictions nor bad placements, or

b. strong FB planets with some afflictions and bad placements

Thank you...

Warm regards,

Shayn

Dear ,

The couple desire a Saturday afternoon or evening wedding in either June or July

of 2008. The

event will take place in Boulder, Colorado, USA (105W16, 40N01-Mountain Daylight

Time). I considered only Leo, Libra, and Sagittarius ascendants because they

generally fall within

these times and have more FBs. I tried to keep the FMs off the angles and put

the FBs

there instead. I also avoided malefic main and subperiods at the time of the

event.

Each chart has its strengths and weaknesses. I would like to learn how to select

the

most auspicious one...

a) June 28, 2008 at 3:45pm shows Libra ASC with strong Jupiter, Saturn, and Sun.

Saturn,

Sun, and Venus aspect their respective angles. A combust Venus is the main and

subperiod ruler. Mercury is poorly placed and afflicted by Rahu.

b) July 12, 2008 at 3:00pm gives a Libra ASC with strong Jupiter. All other FBs

are weak

but placed well. Jupiter and Venus start the main and subperiod. Saturn and Mars

aspect

their respective angles. Mars is debilitated in Navamsha. There are no

afflictions.

c) July 12, 2008 at 7:15pm gives Sag ASC with strong Jupiter. Strong Mercury

conjuncts H7

and aspects ASC. Jupiter and weak Sun are the main/subperiod rulers. Weak Saturn

and

Mars aspect their respective angles. Venus is weak by combustion, bad placement,

and

weak dispositorship. Mars is debilitated in Navamsha. There are no afflictions.

d) July 19, 2008 at 2:25pm gives a Libra ASC with strong Moon. Strong Venus is

on H10

MEP aspecting H4. Moon and Venus are the main/subperiod rulers. Weak Saturn and

Mars also aspect their respective angles. However, MMP Mercury directly afflicts

Jupiter.

Thank you for your enlightenment...

Can functional benefics such as Mangala as Lord of 9th and 2nd be used when

selecting auspicious times. For example use Tuesday vaara for a none Mars

activity given that it is 9th Lord 'yogakaraka'. General stuff I have read just

says avoid mangala and Sani. Advice appreciated.

Dear Sir,

For oushadha seva, sastra chikitsa and digging of earth for such activities on

tues day you can fix up.However Tarabalam will be important for avoiding

obstructions and completion of the task taken up.

In fact even this what is not tobe taken on Mangala Vara is region specific and

varies according to cultures.

In some regions Beer Vaar known for Thurs days new projects/works are not taken

up.For them mangal vaar has no problem.

Dear friend,

I have tested Muhurta on Tuesday for

study, competition, real estate, engineering etc.

It gives success if mars is strong yogakaraka for the natal chart

and strong in the muhurta chart.

Mars generally gives success after a lot of punctual, systematic hard work.

As regards relationship / communication matter it should always be avoided.

Thanks to all who replied to my message. I will experiment using Mangala

muhurtas for wealth activities. On same basis I will avoid Friday/ Sukra times

as Sukra is my 8th Lord.

thanks

Dear Pushpa

The sad thing in ur BIL chart is that he has rahu in his second house which

is aspecting the karma bhav, in transit rahu was also in his 2nd house hvg

aspect on the 10th house and his rahu maha dasha is also on.

All the problems he is experiencing is going on from over last 18 months.

Now in transit rahu has changed its bhav, hence he should get some relief.

The current dasha bhukti is not favourable of rahu/ven/Chandra.

After 17.12.09, he should be able to get a new job and will also see some

stability in his career.

He needs to work on rahu remedies.
