Though rahu is placed in 7th of dasa lord in the house of Venus, it is also placed in the 8th from lagna. Lagna lord Venus (who is also dispositor of Rahu) is debilated in the 12th and afflicted by gulika. Rahu is also in the Vadha Nakshtra from Lagna & its Navamsa Nakshtra is Vipath nakshtra. Hence, I feel this is not an auspicious period. affliction of Venus has caused to loose strength of the chart in many respects. Rahu has navamsa in Karkata. Hence do abhisheka, naivedya to Rahu & also do durga / devi / laxmi pooja, recite their stotras, particularly that of Laxmi & durga. It is likely that the marriage may happen rather suddenly.
