U can perform archanai for Lord Rahu on tuesdays or saturdays. He has to have a regular medical chek up till Feb 2010. Reg the query abt the birds, it is better u release it in an area where there are plenty of trees. otherwise u can hand it over to Zoo officials. It is not advisable to have pet birds in the house.
