Ganesh ji has a 1st right, ANd Shiv ji is HAR HAR MAHADEV. For special purpose pooja, the minimum some steps r required for any special homa and anushthana. U can make it on any cloth or any other area with Haldi or roli. 1st - make a Swastik sign Ganesh ji has a priority of doing any pooja 2nd - SheshNag. Who has taken this earth on his head. 3rd - navgreh For shanti and worship 4th - yogini mata For energy 5th - sodhash mata For energy and happiness Next is the main God, to whom ur doing pooja and anushtahana. Minimum process : Give them a proper place in ur pooja place, where u have made this. 1st - invite them 2nd - offer water that AACHAMAN 3rd - Offer place 4th is offer snanam 5th is offer cloths 6th offer tilkam 7th offer food 8th is offer water 9th - do pray than do ur pooja. do it with ur sanskrit shalokam or if u have not any good pandit, than do it urself. finally, after anushtana, pray to God, pls forgive me, if i have done any wrong thing. The poojas of 5 gods are open to us. Do any kind of pooja as u can do VIshnu ji, Shiv ji ji, Ma Durga, Ganesh ji and Surya Dev ji. ie panch mahadev. If u want to do any other Pooja or some very specific pooja, than u need a perfect pandit. TULSI DAS JI SAID : Tulsi naam ram ka reejh bhajo ya kheej | bhumi rapjay upjay gay ultay sidhay beej || Means : Pray to God as u can do. u will get a result +ve at end. as the farmer get result from his crop, he does not take care during farming process, to watch the put seed in a straight. U need a proper loyalty for it. give heart to god and brain to world during a shorter period of worship, anushthana or homa. this small thing is very typical. Easy to say, difficult to follow. If we do this, we get every thing in this world here or after life. Tulsi ji said Tulsi tulsi sab kahen, tulsi Van ki ghaas | Padi kirpa ram ki , ho gaye tulsi das. " Name the method of worship in any way or by 64 yogini Pooja.Always worship on special occassions has the same procedure as it is envisged in our sastra. Nityaanushtanam being carried out in our houses on day today basis to our Gods in Pooja room is by our conviction.It is also as good as any specila pooja.it is only our faith that matter.Yogini by name itself is known to be one of the form of energy.we ofcourse regionally have also Pratyangira Mata Pooja.Such special worships normally advised to be performed in temples where evr invocation of Shakti Swaroop is meant.
