RATH: GAMES IS A POOR TRANSLATION OF THE TERM LEELA. LOOK AT A SIMPLE CONCEPT OF UNITY OF GODHEAD. WE ALL KNOW THAT NARAYANA IS THE PENULTIMATE UNDIVIDED FORM OF GOD, YET WE LIKE TO CALL HIM BY DIFFERENT NAMES. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN, OR WHY HAS THIS HAPPENED? THIS DIFFERENTIATION IS CAUSED BY RAJAS AND NOT SATWA GUNA. JUPITER INDICATES SATWA GUNA AND THE UNDIFFERENTIATED FORM (IF ANY) OF THE LORD WHEREAS MERCURY OF RAJAS GUNA INDICATES THE DIFFERENTIATED FORM AND LEADS TO THE WORSHIP OF THE VARIOUS AVATAR'S OF BHAGAVAN.

BRAHMA HIMSELF IS CREATED AND IT IS THE PREDOMINANT NATURE OF HIS RAJAS GUNA THAT CAUSES HIM TO DIVIDE HIMSELF AND CAUSE THIS CREATION TO SEEM SO DIFFERENT. LOOK AT MAN AND SAY A DOG, THEY ARE SEEMINGLY SO DIFFERENT BECAUSE OF THE RAJAS GUNA THAT CAUSED THEIR CREATION INTO DIFFERENT FORMS, YET WE KNOW THAT DEEP INSIDE RESIDES A SPARK OF LIFE IN THEM CALLED THE ATMA THAT IS VERY SIMILAR.

THUS, BRAHMA IS NOT PLAYING GAMES, HE IS ONLY DOING WHAT IS HIS PREDOMINANT NATURE TO DO I.E. DIVIDE HIMSELF INTO VARIOUS PARTS AND FORMS AND FINALLY LIKE ALL OTHER PARTS OF CREATION, HE TOO SHALL BE DISSOLVED. THUS THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS RAJAS GUNA WHICH LEADS TO WEALTH AND PROSPERITY AND CREATES SO MANY THINGS AND BEINGS SHALL ONE DAY END. THIS END IS DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF CREATIONS..MEN 120 YEARS MAX, ELEPHANTS 360 YEARS AND SO ON.

LIKA ALL OTHER PARTS OF BRAHMA IN HIS DIFFERENTIATED FORM, MAYA IS ALSO CREATED FOR THE INDIVIDUAL ATMAS TO HAVE AN OPPORTUANITY TO CLEANSE THEMSELVES BY REALISING THE HIGHER TRUTH. THAT IS WHY MAYA IS CALLED THE DIVINE MOTHER AND IT IS AT HER BEHEST THAT THE "GATI" OF ALL BEINGS IS DETERMINED. SANKARA SAYS 'GATISTWAM GATI STWAM TWAM EKA BHAVANI". IT IS THIS GATI THAT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE REALISATION PROCESS. WITHOUT PROPER GATI NONE OF THE DIFFERENTIATED ATMA'S (SPARKS THAT HAVE BEEN SEPARATED FROM THE PARAMATMA DUE TO THEIR AQUIRING MORE OF RAJAS OR TAMAS GUNA) WILL EVER BE ABLE TO HAVE SELF REALISATION OR PERCEIVE THE IMPERCEPTIBLE TRUTH.

THUS, MAYA IS THE GREAT MOTHER MAHAMAYI.

IN JYOTISH, WE TRY TO UNDERSTAND MAYA THROUGH THE ARUDHA PADA. AS AN EXAMPLE LET US TAKE THE LAGNA PADA. HERE, MAYA CAN BE A DEMON WHEN IT COMES TO THE FALSE SENCE OF PERPETUAL LIFE THAT WE ALL HAVE. INSPITE OF KNOWING FULLY WELL THAT WE SHALL ALL DIE ONE DAY, WE CONTINUE IN THE DEEP INNER FAITH THAT SOMEHOW WE SHALL BE THE 'CHOSEN LUCKY' ONES TO LIVE FOREVER. THIS FALSE SENCE IS LIKE THE DEMON OF UNTRUTH OR ASAT AND IS REPRESENTED BY THE ARUDHA LAGNA. THIS MAKES US FEEL BIG AND MIGHTYI.E. THE GREATER THE MAYA OF THE ARUDHA THE MORE THE MIGHTY FEELING. THUS, WHEN THE LAGNA (SATYA) ARRIVES IN THE ARUDHA LAGNA (OR ITS TRINES OR 7TH HOUSE OR THE SIGN OCCUPIED BY ITS LORD), THIS SENCE OF UNTRUTH IS DESTROYED AND DEATH OCCURS [RATH'S RULE SEE CRUX OF VEDIC ASTROLOGY].

THUS THE EXISTENCE OF THE ATMA IN BODIES AND IN THIS MAYA IS NECESSARY FOR THE SELF REALISATION AND FOR THE LEARNING AND CLEANSING PROCESS.

RATH: WHY SHOULD THEY? THE MAHARISHI'S UNDERSTAND THIS PROCESS AND ARE IN PERFECT HARMONY WITH ALL THESE ACTS OF GOD KNOWING FULLY WELL THAT MAYA (IN THE SENCE OF WORLDLY ENJOYMENTS- A VERY RESTRICTED CONCEPT AS USED IN YOUR QUESTION) IS THERE TO HELP THE ATMA DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN GOOD AND BAD AND THIS DIFFERENTIATION IS ALSO BORNE OUT OF THE ESSENTIAL INNER NATURE OF THE PREVAILING GUNA OF RAJAS WITHIN THE ATMA THAT HAS CAUSED ITS DIFFERENTIATION FROM THE PARAMATMA. IF THE ONENESS WITH GOD IS COMPLETE, THEN MOKSHA IS IMMINENT.

RATH: THERE ARE VARIOUS TYPES OF MOKSHA. EVEN BRAHMA IS CREATED FROM THE BODY OF NARAYANA AND HAS EVOLVED FROM THE RAJAS THAT PREVAILED FOR HIS CREATION. SO, BRAHMA GETS MOKSHA ONCE IN 100 BRAHMA YEARS AND ANOTHER BRAHMA IS CREATED AFTER THE NIGHT IS OVER FROM THE CYCLE OF TIME THAT CAUSES THE RAJAS TO PREVAIL TOWARDS THE END OF THE (BRAHMA PERIOD'S) NIGHT.

Dears,

first of all let me present myself as a new member of this list.

I am 38 year old mechanical engineer, selfeducated student of Jyotish, and

practising Kundalini Yoga. I have big interest in my spiritual progress since I

was seven. In that age I have spontanous Kundalini awakening. Since that I most

find myself in advaita philosophy, especially Sri Sankaracarya, Nisargadata,

Babaji and others.

As a student of Jyotish I start last summer. My knowledge is gained throw

Internet sources, some books available in croatian or serbian language and

discussions on forum.

But, the hardest way is to interpretate your own chart. So, I please somenone

who has insight to answer me shortly and briefly to three question that I cannot

see the answer.

- spiritual progress: is Kundalini YOga right way for me, have I capacities for

Jyotish, and is Ketu in 12th bhava good for me

- my profession: I am mechanical engineer, but I am not satisfied with that, I

would like to start my own businees on Internet, have I good chance to success?

Further, Sukra is my amatya karaka-do I have to spread efforts to business

related to Sukra? What is at all my ideal profession to be satisfied with it?

- material, wealth status: I have Malavya Mahapurusa Yoga, but since my life I

have problems with money and get my own home. I know that I was in Rahu

Mahadasa, and that is Guru Mahadasa coming-will I have more lucky with money

now? I have a big problems with my loans, but deeply inside of me I feel that I

could do a big business and solve my problems soon.

My date of birth is: 20th June 1971, 10:23:01 (rectified time) in Zagreb,

Croatia

Dear Borajski,Clearly mention your Birth Place,State-Province,Name of Country,

Latitude,Longitude,Time Zone of your Birth place to cast your birth

chart.without it analysis is not possible and make clear how many chakras have

been enlightened till date as you are enlightening Kundalini Chakras since the

age of 7 years.
