But if your husband is at home he can do it with sudhi. But you have to avoid fully in all the process ( from even cleaning the utensils for pooja). Guest guest Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 Hello Karan Ji, These are all according to prevailing cultures.Those days Karta(husband ) has dynamic role to perform till wife takes after those five days.Probably for him a deviation and for you to suggest to light lamp and offer some prasad to Almighty by way of a fruit/milk what ever to the God first.Rest of things as usual by maintating cleanliness and sanctity of god/Almighty.
