Guest guest
Greetings dear friends, I have a very deep interest in Vedic Astrology, however I am very new to it all. I have had two different birth charts done that have left me very confused. For one, I always thought that I was born under the sign of Virgo and one chart confirmed that. The other states that according to Vedic Astrology, I am in fact a Leo. Also I had a year ahead report done which left me quite anxious as it seems my upcoming year is filled with bad news and hard times! I was given certain remedies and was told to find someone who can perform these remedies according to proper Vedic methods, however I do not know of anyone to assist me! My Birth information is Birth date: August 27 1979 Place if Birth: USA Buffalo New York Time of Birth: 7:26 PM The Remedies I was given are: Ganapathy Homam Jupiter Puja Lakshmi-Kuber Homam Nakshatra Puja Navagraha Homam If anyone is able to offer me any assistance I would greatly appreciate it! Guest guest
Dear Falicia, In the west / european countries follow the sun sign charts based on birth during certain dates. In India we use the siderial planetary positions and so the signs occupied by planets refered also changes. However, a new breed of astrologers has sprung up, particularly in the west / european countries which basicaly uses the western methods for computations and uses Indian methods of predicting results or vice versa. This naturaly ends up in disaster. According to Indian System you are born with the following data - relavent to you. Nakshtra (Birth Star) = Swaati Thithy = Sukhla Panchami Karana = Vyaghra Nithya Yoga = Sukla Kaala Hora = Mercury Lagna = Capricorn (28:52) Sun = Leo (10:31) Moon= Libra (08:04) Mars= Gemini(19:06) Mercury=Cancer (25:32) Jupiter=Cancer(29:38) Venus=Leo(11:12) Saturn=Leo(22:00) Rahu=Leo(14:59) Ketu=Aquarius(14:59) Gulika=Scorpio(23:46) In India the position of Sun refers to the Month of Birth namely simha and a combination of Sun & moon refers to the lunar month (Badhrapada). according to the Indian system, 6th / 8th / 12th house from Lagna sign or Moon is considered inimical to the native. The planets positioned in those signs spell dangers, obstructions , losses etc, particularly if they are malafic planets (Sun, Mars, Saturn, weak moon & mercury , rahu & ketu if they are associated with the other planets (sun/mars/saturn) mostly in their respective dasa periods. You dasa period running now is Jupiter - Rahu till Oct-2011. This period is generaly not considered to be good. Though Jupiter is occupying exalted sign and in the 7th of Lagna , Rahu is positioned in the 8th house. hence it is not generaly good. You may have faced a lot of troubles, both internal & external. The 8th of leo is the 5th house of zodiac and hence represents the abdomen area. this period could give troubles in this area. Since these planets are aspecting the 2nd house with Ketu placed there, this period also could spell sudden & unexpected financial losses. The remedies you had mentioned could be done if you are focusing on finances. However if your focused on health issues, You should be doing Mrithyunjaya Havana. Without fully knowing about what you seek, it is difficult to specificaly suggest any remedies. Ganapathy Havana is done for removing obstacles Laxmi-Kuber Homa is done for properity Navagraha homa is done as propitiation for malefic influences of planets in the chart. So also is nakshtra pooja. (no relevance in this case). Jupiter pooja is in fact included in the Navagraha Havana where you propitiate all the 9 planets. so there is no need to do a seperate pooja for Jupiter. Such single planet poojas is done when navagraha pooja / havana could / need not be done due to various reasons. There are a few temples in USA where you could get these done. But try to contact them through a genuine / honest person of Indian origin. hope this helps you. Guest guest
That clears things up for me quite a bit. I align myself with the Indian form astrology. I have not had many, if any health issues. My concerns come from Finances, relationship, and things in my life generally not going well or in my favor right now. I am in the process of finding someone reputable as far as the remedies go. Thank you for you assistance in this matter.
