 You are correct in your defination of debilation and retrogression of

planets,but much less have been given regarding retro of a planet in

classics.Old treatises like uttara kalamrita say a retro planet is equal to

exalted planet in exalted house and debilated in debilation house,mantreshwara

is of opinion a retro planet not only possess strength to produce good result

similar to exalted planet even though it is in debilation sign or enemy

sign,kalyana varma says that a benefic retro gives good result and confers

political power while a malefic gives bad result,jatak tatva endorses with

saravali.But i have seen a many horoscopes where a planet in debilation sign but

not debilated according to degrees behaves like an exalted planet but it delays

to give the result as it is retro by motion,in shadbala one of this strength we

look chesta bala(motional strength).As a keen lover of jyotish i analyse many

horoscopes and try to find something new apart from

whatever given in classics so i just check the horoscope and then try to relate

it with palm reading and it tells the same story. As horoscope can be same of

two individuals born on same time,place,year but not palm.Dr K.N Rao in his site

given a chart of an army major who have retro planet in 10th with 10th lord

retro which caused much delayed and obstacles in his promotion.I have seen out

that a planet in debilation sign but not debilated but retro behaves exalted.In

to share market definately a guru-chandal yoga was there with jup in deb sign

but thing got better when it was retro in capricorn as for share market rises

the two planets involve sun and jup which is karaka for 2nd house
