P which is itself an authority on the topic wherein you will find that all the 13 chapters of Durgasaptsati is either read in one sitting/day or all the 13 chapters are read in 7 days in this order-on 1st day-1st chapter,on 2nd day-chapter 2nd & 3rd,on 3rd day-chapter no.4th,on 4th day chapter no.5th,6th,7th, 8th,on 5th day- chapter no.9th,10th, on 6th day-chapter no.11th,and on 7th day-chapter no.12th and 13th should be read serially.                                                                       \  It is also mentioned on page no.18 th of Durga Saptsati that there are different orders of reading chapters of Durgasaptsati according to many Tantras ..So in case of any dispute one should follow customary rituals of own country/locality. ''                         Let the whole world know that above lines have not been deleted as yet from Durgasaptsati nor your writers of choice(Whose name have been referred by you)  can dare to say a single word to ammend the Durgasaptsati which is being published from Gita press Gorakhpur. Thus you may kindly be pleased to correct your self that generally Durgasaptsati is read in seven days in this order-  1day =    1st chapter  2nd day= 2 & 3rd chapter  3rd day = 4th chapter  4th day = 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th chapters  5th day= 9 & 10th chapters  6th day = 11th chapter  7th day= 12 & 13th chapters Please open page No.553 of Kalyan Shakti Ank and you will find that apart from above the collection of 535 slokas,108 half slokas,57 Uvach are equal to 700 which makes it Durgasaptsati. Learned Tripathy Ji kindly make a perusal of 31st line at page No.152 of shakti Anka wherein learned Harishankershastri Ji claims that Durgasaptsati cosists of 700 Slokas where as at page 553 learned Kaldhar Ji claims it consists of 535 slokas. Is Harishankershastri Ji more authentic? Lastly I would like to request you not to use word ''ignorant'' for the members of this widest group. All the members of this group are well read persons & have calibre to decide it as to who is misguiding. This is Jyotish Remedies forum where we should provide remedies to the querists if known to us and not to reagitate matters which have already been taken up. With thanks & regards, Dhirendra Nath Misra  ____________ _________ _________ __ Pk Tripathy <pktripathy89@ > Thu, December 17, 2009 1:44:08 PM Re: How to read Durga Saptsati  Dear Mr Mishra,Krishnajee, Prashan Kumar etc.etc. I am really shocked to here such comments from you like senior astrollogers. However, I draw all of your attention to the topic " the controversies between the topic of Mr.suresh Babu and Mr.Niket arose only on the meaning of DURGASAPTASATHI and non-existance of TRI SHAKTI which is wrongly written by Mr.Suresh Babu and corrected by Mr. Niket. In this connection I would draw your kind attention refer 152and 158 Page of KALYAN-SHAKTI- ANKA published by same Geetapress, Gorakhpur where in it is Categorically written by two different writed Harishankarjee Shastri and Shri Baldevprashadji Mishra respectively that DURGASAPTHASATI means 700 Slokas of Durga and devided by 3 Charitra, one Nidradevi stuti by Lord Brahma to awake Lord Vishnu for killing of MadhuKaithav, Second Collectyion all powers all Gods to giving it jointly to Devi for killing Mahushashura and Thirdly Raise of individual power of Goddess Parvati to Kill Shumbha Nisumbha . and there is no Trisati and 7 days prayer as Saptasathi which was mentioned by Mr Suresh Babu and supoported wrongly by you. So once for all I request you all do not misguide the ignorant people with wrongmeaning. Published by Prachya Vidya Bhawavn Kashi.. what i wrote is 100% right, as ppl defines the system based on their comforts, if one read sapt shati in one year or in one day, almighty will not come to sugest how and when where to read. on shri durga very few sages have written, what i mentioned the books in those books you can find what shri Vasishth, Vishwamitra, Parashar, And self Lord Shivas' saying. kindly read then discuss. just for your info i am scholar of shri Shrigeri Peeth hope you must be heared about it, i did PHD in vedanta. after completed acharya from shri shrengeri gurukul, lord shankaracharya is himself Kulpati and use to teach few importent subjects. with warm regards Niket Saraswat , " Suresh Babu.A..G " <sureshbabuag@ ....> wrote: > > Dear ASTRO, > > I dont know who you are or what your are or your own knowledge which is evident from what you have written or even your authority. So also half understanding and " know it all " sense. India is a divergent country and different part of this small world practices the same thing in different ways and tantra is surely not ONE. > A.G.Suresh Babu Shenoy > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > astroiniket <nakshtraniket@ ...> > > Wed, December 16, 2009 7:31:42 PM > Re: Humble request > >  > shre suresh babu ji, > > durga saptshati means Durgas' seven hundrad shloka ( sapt meas seven shati means hundrad) not as u told " It is read traditionaly in 7 days.
