Lord Ganesha is Ohmkara swaroopi. Hence all days are equaly important.

However, In Astrology, Venus in Male Rashi / Navamsa is considered as Lord

Ganesha Hence Friday is considered for worship in some regions.

Dear Sateesh Ji

I have been trying to find out an answer for your question, searching few old

magazines etc. Couldn't find any specific day.

As you are aware , only the importance of Chathurthi is being stressed.

I guess Ganapati as the Lord of Ganas and as the moorthi of mooladhara can be

made happy before any beginning on any day.

Hope other learned members may give their view.

Shri Ajitkumar

Thank you for sharing this. It is very interesting. In South India Tuesday is

dedicated to Subramanya the other son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi.

I believe in Mumbai and other places Tuesday is considered as auspiscious for

Ganapati.

Thus it seems subramanya and Ganapati have similarity except for the path.

Both of them are related to Mars. Both of them started their ''journey'' but

adapted different modes. Mars to Mars , Aries to Vrischika the natural realm of

human experience may also be linked.

Mr Pradeep

Lord Ganesha has adorned his waist with Ketu. You may notice the serpent in His

waist. The devotees in addition to Wednesday also pray Ganapathi on Tuesdays

to ward off the evil effects of Ketu dasa if it is not placed well in one's

chart.

Ganapathi not only gives us wisdom but also saves  His devotees during the

malefic Ketu period

Namaste Savithri Ji

Thank you for the explanation and reminding/linking Ketu and Ganapati.

Let HIM protect and give us the necessary initiation and knowledge.

I have also read that for moola nakshathra and related worries Ganapati needs to

be prayed. Moreover after the occult number of 8, it is HE who is gauarding the

''Door''.The Indra Dhanuss then links us to higher realms.

Thus HE is the only one who can remove the obstacles and relieve one from Rinas

or debts. I beleive this obstacle is nothing other than the ''hetu''(reason) or

to be precise the moola hetu or moola karana(root cause).

As we know this moola Karana or Hetu is the reason for our very existence.

Moolam in Dhanus is thus lorded by KETU. Moolam, Mooladharam and Mooladhara

moorthi comes again to mind as Shri Chandrahari has been proposing.

With subramanya as well we can see the Shikhi, the peackock which is again Ketu,

described as Palasha Pushpa.

Thanks again for igniting the divine thoughts during the auspiscious

occassion(eve) of MahaShivarathri.

OM NAMA SHIVAYA
