I want to confirm this, whether its in my or my siblings chart, because we've never heard of it before. I am quite concerned in regards to it. If so, what is the best remedy to do. We reside in US. Guest guest Posted February 21, 2010 Report Share Posted February 21, 2010 Dear Member, I don't think there is Pitra Sapa in any of your chart. But show some sort of affliction. It might be related with health issues or other problems. One of the indication is the problem is least in your chart and has increased in a progressive manner in the second & third chart. To determine Pitra shapa, 9th lord should exchange places with the 6th lord, or the Sun should be in the 6th while 6th lord should be in Simha rasi. Another indication is that Sun should be in the Marsian sign or navamsa and Sun should be badha rasi (usually looked when taking prashna) and Sun should have been associated with Saturn. In your chart, 9th lord is saturn. Saturn is positioned in the 6th , exalted & retrograde. But 6th lord is Lagna lord himself & is placed in the 11nth & exalted. There is no direct association of 9th & 6th lords. 9th house is also having a benefic planet - Mercury which is also 2nd & 5th lord. So there is no pitra shapa here. Sun is in the 10th house & uttarayana too. One cannot again say this is Pitra shapa. However, Sun in Kumbha - termed as channapapa rasi Hidden sins - could indicate some hidden issues in the family. Again this sign is also called " Hridroga " - heart related ailments. Combining the saturn's position in the 6th & Sun's position (9th lord & karaka), one could say that your father may have had heart related problems. In the 2nd chart, 9th is having debilated jupiter & 9th lord in the 7th Vrischika. Sun is occupying the 10th house of Kumbha rasi. From moon 9th lord is in the 9th itself. In the last chart, 9th lord is in the 9th itself. Sun is aspected by Saturn (7th & 8th lord). 9th lord Jupiter is with Rahu also. These again does not indicate pitra sapa but other issues. So none of the chart indicates that you have pitra shapa. However, there could be other problems regarding family matters & health issues. Sun's position in Kumbha rasi also may indicate that the ancestors might have had some curse due to their Karma. This is not pitra sapa, which essentially means that you have the curse of ancestors - No such thing. It is only possible that ancestors might have got some one's curse due to their karma dosha. The best thing is to leave it aside, but do periodical pinda daan, offer daan for brahmins etc as per customs and live a simple life trying not to exploit others too much for your benefits only.
