But, you can't deny the fact that ratio favors the males over females not just in joytisha, but pretty much all across board with so many other professions..Thanks to woman's liberation/movement we have made some progress in the past 50 years..Still, we have a long way to go before we can catch up and even out! In the realm of Western Astrology, if you took the time to explore you would see that there were and are a lot more women in the realm of astrology -- as practitioners and writers etc! What would your analysis be, Lilly, regarding that? Why are more women in the Western Astrology realm, than those who have made a mark in Indian Astrology? Leelavati the daughter of Bhaskaracharya who wrote the treatise on spherical Trigonometry was tutored by her father in the science of Jyotish hundreds of years back.
