Is India still following a one day weekend (sunday off) like the 70s and earlier (other than a few engineering colleges and some private companies) or have they adopted the more prevalent saturday-sunday weekend? Then we had a day on saturday celeberating MiladiNabi and awaiting Shri ram Navami holidays. ..All of them have 5 day week and several optional holidays and innumerable national holidays accounting to 36 in an year.we have holidyas for Mildain nabi,Good Friday,Guru Nanak Jayanti.and even cleberate Matama Gandhi's Birthday till date.
