My last HOLI was celebrated in 1973, before I left 'home'

Each HOLI, we used to raid the houses of our TEACHERS who were rather DIFFICULT

all through the year (such were the NORMS back then!), but suddenly on that Holi

Day, they seemed so different, so open, so loving!

Would WE have learned so much more and better if they were equally open as at

HOLI -- the rest of the 364 days?

Holi, crazy as it may be is about transitions of realities! Brings into focus

that angle if a significant death coincides with Holi when one was young.

My apologies for having intruded and caused turmoil!

Why did they (ancients!) create this ritual that the dying must receive

gangajaal as the last drop that they receive?

It was a strange HOLI. Dada was away in Gauhati because he wanted to become a

doctor and he DID in England eventually!

So I was stuck with the duty to offer the final drop of Gangajal to my dying

grandmother! Confused as I was, I was barely 14 then -- as the brahmin was

communicating through ingit that I must not get carried away and drown my dying

grandmother with the ganga-jal, I still recall a crisp question: Thamma is dying

and pretty much DONE, so my last rites to her and how much ganga-jaal I pour

down her throat -- is that going to make a significant difference?

To share with you truly, what I recalled as She departed was that moment a few

years ago when I had measles and was itching all over and crying like you would

not believe it! She was dying and had bed-sores and what not but dragged herself

to where I was and placed her palm on my forehead.

Soon thereafter, someone got this brilliant idea to bring in the branch of the

neem tree and the itching subsided!

Was it the Neem or the Grandmother's touch? Would WE ever know?

This apart/Brings into focus that angle if a significant death coincides with

Holi

when one was young/ what matters the role undertaken to offer ganga jal is it

self an event of great at the tender stage of transitional 14.

Since the viral is really difficult to withsstand, the departed souls " " brilliant

idea " " (made) to bring in the branch of the neem tree and the itching

subsided!

Undoubtedly a parting message to have from a soul whose blessing on the day of

Holy is certainly makes one blessed.Neem has an astringent and curative but it

was incidental.

yet HOli an occasion to pray and to endorse affection.

Even in Latin, the bitter and astringent NEEM contains indicators and NIMITTAs

that represent love and caring, Krishnan dada!

It begins with MA and contains another bangla word " GO " a term of endearment and

extreme intimacy and an early hint of divinity (GOSAanie!)...

Neem extract is a very effective pesticide and very healing according to

Ayurveda, I believe! Interestingly, so are Onion and Garlic that are utilized by

other religions but shunned by Hindus!

Sab hain Bachchay us EK BHAGWAAN kay jisay bachchon nay kaat kaat kar baant diya

kitnay bhaagon main, kitnay hisson main...!

OH SIGH! Or perhaps I should have written O SAI!

not to mention, before I forget -- the wonderful Urdu saying that is

increasingly becoming the WATCHWORD for Jyotish and Jyotish remedies: NEEM HAQIM

KHATRAA-E-JAAN!

Sir,

Transitions in any case r realities.some pleasent and some not so.In fact

herbals before antobiotics is popular widely.Even now.

what ofcourse awesome when in some jatras, rural folks festivals, they become

emotional and difficult to contain them they are made sober with the branches

and leaves of neem by their touch/massge?

2.when antibiocs were in conceptual stage, the man lighting with stones, fire used

and drunk neem water to work wonders for him and even to save from mosquito

bites.

In my child hood of 3 yrs eye sore/conjunctivitis was cured through the fresh

onion extract put through a spoon into eye sockets.

OSAI.ESAI,DESAI with additon deletion of alphabets is a topic to wage

wars.Belied that tears when role down super, duper SAI consoles.Probably this

makes people to have saddistic approach

Even in Latin, the bitter and astringent NEEM contains indicators and

NIMITTAs that represent love and caring, Krishnan dada!

It begins with MA and contains another bangla word " GO " a term of endearment and

extreme intimacy and an early hint of divinity (GOSAanie!). ..

Neem extract is a very effective pesticide and very healing according to

Ayurveda, I believe! Interestingly, so are Onion and Garlic that are utilized by

other religions but shunned by Hindus!

WOW! I am surprised you haven't celebrated holi since'73! You really missed out

on life's simple pleasure and some good fun for 3 decades..I had a great holi

yesterday with my local Indian community..I danced all night long, played with

colors and had some good Indian food.

I am sure your life is just great and has much purpose and meaning! But, just

don't forget to smell the flowers in bloom with springs arrival.:-)

Holi is special to ME because it usually falls much close to my birthday, and

just another reminder that I am getting OLD!
