I reporduce the portion of the post that I have a doubt in:

A mantra of a planet always strengthen the planet. But the strengthening of

gem and mantra are not same. Hope to discuss this later in details. (That is my

view.) Mantras of Gods help pacifying harm of malefic planets. Please refer to

My doubt is: How does a mantra work here? By amplyfying its benefic or malefic

effect as a gemstone or as a pacifyer?  If it is a pacifyer then does it mean

that mantra for benfic will reduce its beneficial effects?

A good question.Mantra balam has no comparision for remedial purpose.The

vibrations of reciting mantra in a specified manner and with Guru's initiation

not only does remove malefic traits of planets but also leads to betterment of

life.It is a long run approach.where as gems if good quality are available and

is properly worn also gives strength but may not ward of malefic results of the

ill placed planets in natal chart.  with proper identification of gem and with

advice of good astrologer appropriate to yogakarak,Result will certainly be

better during dasa.anatar and pratyantar But they need to be used with utmost

care and caution and need also suddhi from time to time.

Instead recitation of Mnatras Ishta devata always helps native to improve his

manobal which inturn makes him to be more positive and lead a balanced life.
