Dear fraternity,

Can any one tell me what is the purpose of the tree or plants as per our

nakshtra?

Whether we have to grow at our plant or what

Basically they indicate the link between the nature and symmetries between a

person and other living beings of nature that he is part of.

There are also several uses for these analogies in Jataka, Prashana & Muhurtha.

a common contention is that one should not harm or destroy the indications of

one's nakshtra etc, be it an animal or tree, even if he does not have one at his

home as pet or in the garden.

Sir , in lalkitab system Trees, plants, herbs, their roots, sap, leaves,

fruits, seeds, even mud under their shade; their shade etc are used for

rectification of horoscope , judging nature of planets and in remedial

measures. Some trees/plant/herb are recommended for a

particular planetary position while totally banned for some other.

Dear 'Gayathridoll',

The appropriate person to respond and answer to you would be Shri Chardrashekhar

jee, who to the best of my recollection was the first person on this forum to

find and share the significations and association between the flora and

nakshatras.

Please repost your request in a few days so that we know that you were not a one

time visitor (my apologies if you are a frequent-poster and longtime member and

I just happened to have noticed your earlier postings and sharings!). The

reposting will ensure that Chandrashekharjee's valuable time is not wasted.

Although, even if like a comet, you were here and gone for the next 75 years

(like Haley!), his response would still be of much educational value to many of

the rest of us. So from that perspective, thanks for posting your question.

Regards,

Rohiniranjan

Please compare the list provided by Chandrashekhar Jee with the list given at

folloowing website :

http://thenmala.info/trees.html

There are Nakshatra-vanas at Ranchi, Latur and many other places.

In addition to Nakshatra:Plants lists, there are other lists too, such as

Planet:Plants which are used for propitiation of malefic planets in the absence

of costly gems.

These plants can be correlated to the properties of nakshatras and planets.

Other herbs which are not present in these lists are related to these cardinal

plants by means of their properties, but no thorough and comprehensive study has

been carried out to classify herbs on this line. It is difficult to ascertain

the modern names of many herbs and plants given in ancient texts.

We need more research in this line. I hope Chandrashekhar Jee will throw more

light on this issue.

Type the English names of these astrological plants in any search engine and you

will get many websites providing details. For example, the tree of Ashleshaa

nakshatra is Naaga Vriksha :

Thus, enough matter can be gathered for a new book on astrological plants by a

would-be writer.

Other herbs which are not present in these lists are related to these cardinal

plants by means of their properties, but no thorough and comprehensive study has

been carried out to classify herbs on this line. It is difficult to ascertain

the modern names of many herbs and plants given in ancient texts.

Muhurtha. a common contention is that one should not harm or destroy the

indications of one's nakshtra etc, be it an animal or tree, even if he does not

have one at his home as pet or in the garden.
