The important thing, Kulbir_bhai, is simply this:

 

Let us say you jyotishis can figure out the true longevity and epoch of death

(no one can even if asked to guarantee at point-blank gun-point!)...

 

What can you possibly do with that information?

 

Please share and please be pragmatic and not hairy-fairy as modern jyotish seems

to have become!

SiRR ji,

 

I got your point and would like to add that reminder of death is the

whetstone on which behaviour, thinking, JYOTISH ( understanding, approach

and application) gets sharpened and displays its true utility.

The domain of jyotish lies between the last birth and the next death!

 

If we can remember that and focus on that, we would have accomlished a lot!

 

If we could only get rid of these snake-charmers who show up from time to time!!
