Dear Sreenadh & Friends,

There appears to be some confusion as regards the Time of birth of Dr

Karunanidhi , the DMK supremo. While most of the writers in Jyotish

conclude it as one with Cancer rising, late outstanding scholar in

Jyotish, Sri R Santhanam, the founder editor of TOA, says he got the

authentic time from one of his friend of TN and registers the birth

time of Kalainjar Karunanidhi as 1215 hours. As someone who takes

the subject of astrology seriously, I am inclined to believe ,very

few people are born exactly to the hour or quarter of it.Recently,

one of my friends had send me a new time. Anyway,both the time

furnished (R Santhanam as well as of my friend ) gives Leo Ascendant

and I prefer to go by the new time provided.

Date of Birth----3rd June 1924

Place of Birth ----Thanjavur

Time of Birth ----1146 hours

State---Tamilnadu

Asc--11Le48

Analysis

The DBA the native is having now is that of Ket/Mer/Rah

On the date of election, viz, the anthara will be that of Rahu. Pls

note that, if you consider the placidus house division, Rahu becomes

the significator of 6H(Competitions) by virtue of being placed in the

lunar mansion of Kethu , placed in 6th.The MD Kethu itself is in 6H.

So the dasha and antara correctly portrays of the native getting

involved in electoral battle.Mercury as we all know is the natural

karaka for competitions.The sub-period Mercury is placed in 9H, a

badhastana, for Leo rising and this will thwart his effort of getting

elevated to the post of CM.Tr.Rahu, the antara lord, will be in

Pisces the 8H , a Dustana, at the time of elections.Subsequent sub-

sub period of Jupiter will be in Rx motion in Transit at the time of

poll counting.This will surely mar his prospects of returning to

power as CM of TN.The ensuing MD of Venus, the vadhatara(The 7th

nakshatradasha), will play havoc with his health.Now I will discuss

the chart of Dr Jayalalitha.

Dear Madhu ji,

I feel that your mail is addressing 2 issues, both of them could be

addressed separately.

1) Birth time rectification

2) Analysis of the horoscope.

In this regard, I think the second can be addressed well if the

first is solved. I mean, to have a unanimous understanding of the

horoscope, we all should know and come to a minimum agreement on the

Birth time rectification methods and its application as well. This I

think is of prime learning importance. Yes, many roles are filled or

handled by many in a rhythmic community, and we being one I feel that

I should turn my attention towards the first, for the long lasting

benefit of the group.

So I hold back my self from this tread of discussion, but would

try to shed light on the first issue pointed by you, Birth Time

Rectification Methods, while learned members like you addressing and

anglicizing the various horoscopes based on various schools of

thought. With the time constraints and work involved, I think this

approach suits well.

We can make it a separate thread so that the traditional approach on

this issue becomes clear to all. I will post a beginning message on

it soon.

PS: Birth rectification methods is part of the basics, which demands

our attention (the attention of the learned astrological community).

This subject should be researched/discussed and should be made

systematic, searching traditional treasures of astrology.
