Dear Sunil ji,

==>

> The basics of Sadhana that i have been taught is not to reveal what

sadhana one is doing to others or like general public (forums)

<==

I think that is the reason for you -

* Not revealing any astrological knowledge in forums.

* Not revealing/sharing/publishing/producing any documents on the

same.

If this is the case then,

* What you are searching in these forums?

* How you are expecting others to reveal their knowledge in ‘public’

forums and benefit from the same, while you are not willing to do so!

This contradiction attracts my attention. Frankly speaking I am yet

to find any valuable document shared by you, or any produced by you

on " pure astrology " . I have seen you only as participating in

discussions and making general statements. May be there is something

or may not with you. I don't know.

But in that case sharpen the sadhana (I hope it is on astrology),

and come up with some results that will become useful to the society.

Hope this will happen in near future.

Note: Please don’t mis-understand any of the above statements for ego.

Love,

Srenadh

of non astro methods. The intention then shifts from learning and

utilising the pure science/shastra to just making predictions which

usually is a self gratifying exercise and most astrologers fall into

this trap, even big wigs in astrology have so much of ego. The worst

part is a true astrologer will understand after learning the science

that ego has no role to play in ones life rather goes on a

destructive phase but instead astrologers have ego that means they

have not UNDERSTOOD the science.

chart and Goddess Parvati is the Host, one observes very clearly that

when they debate they do so with astrological rules & none of the

rishis says my intuition is telling this thats the reason i predicted

so and so for the native. I always think did not the rishis have

enough sadhana to make correct predictions without even seeing the

chart or say going into detail, but no the Rishis debated on basis of

astrological grounds and not on some power or intuition. Maybe they

understood the meaning of astrology better than us & carried the

tradition of true jyotishi.

who knew - the late Richard Hock, the great jyotishi who could

predict the date of events with fantastic accuracy, was asked which

Om Datta GuruDear Sreenadh,My 2nd request do not add ji to my name, have often repeated on lists for years, ji's are not for me.Anyways I find your reply quite funny & am laughing here, maybe u have not followed the thread so far. What i was telling was that one should not mention to anyone what sadhana ONE IS DOING AT THE MOMENT, this is a common practice it loses the intensity to fructify. That is the also one of the reason many Gurus reveal some mantras in ear only to the student so that the spirits do not hear easily. I think am not sure but in the thread ceremony, the gayatri mantra is also revealed in the ear, i could be wrong here since i have not visited any thread ceremonies. As for me revealing or contributing any astrological knowledge in the forums i have done my bit in

forums for years to whatever is the capability. Sharing documents i have done with friends and one of them is ur friend Sreeram, he probably has one or two . also i do not learn this science for showing off my knowledge. As a forum moderator I have seen many big ones in the past but not one has written such a hasty judgemental n conclusive mail in the past to me or others, I guess they have maturity of years. But that is ok we all are made of different material not each is the same. I still write this with kindness.BPHS Chapter 97 Shloka 1-4 saysDo not impart the

knowledge of this Shastra to one, who is insignificative,

slanders, or calumniates others, nor to one, who is not

intelligent, is wicked and unknown to you. Teach this supreme

Vedanga Jyotish Shastra only to one, who is gentle and amiable,

devoted, truthful, brilliant and well known to you.The words that struck me last year were - slanders, calumniates others, is wicked, GENTLE & well known to uI do not know if the sanskrit translation is correct but the meaning of what Parashara is saying seems very important, he could have written much more in his voluminous work but what he writes here has also been repeated by others & therein lies the secret of jyotishi I guess.=====>Frankly speaking I am yet to find any valuable document shared by you, or any produced by you

on "pure astrology". I have seen you only as participating in discussions and making general statements. May be there is something or may not with you. +++====Sunil: My reply to this is before i create any valuable document or book or start teaching others i want to know the shastra, Correctly understand it & that would happen when i have ability to see say 20 charts and predict their month of marriage (example) & put my life, money , property everything on The Prediction on all those 20 charts, if i cant do that i do not have Faith in what i have learned, i do not know the science and have no RIGHT to write a book or teach anyone, it would be like teaching people what I have no 100% knowledge of. I wonder if i would ever be able to do that. Can you do it, if u can then we can do it right here.Today everyone is teaching everyone astrology but nobody can predict, we teach as if we are Experts of this science and the worst part is there is Ahamkar (Ego) about it. Those who write they do not have Ahamkar are at times the worst culprits. When a businessman does business he puts his money & sometimes all assests on his project, astrologers or teachers of this shastra cannot. Writing all kinds of mails, telling people what to do , acting like a Big Guru and quoting shlokas or teaching Any Kid can, but putting 100% faith & betting his life in that knowledge only ONE astrologer Could. Dear Sunil ji,

==>

> The basics of Sadhana that i have been taught is not to reveal what

sadhana one is doing to others or like general public (forums)

<==

I think that is the reason for you -

* Not revealing any astrological knowledge in forums.

* Not revealing/sharing/ publishing/ producing any documents on the

same.

If this is the case then,

* What you are searching in these forums?

* How you are expecting others to reveal their knowledge in ¡public¢

forums and benefit from the same, while you are not willing to do so!

This contradiction attracts my attention. Frankly speaking I am yet

to find any valuable document shared by you, or any produced by you

on "pure astrology". I have seen you only as participating in

discussions and making general statements. May be there is something

or may not with you. I don't know.

But in that case sharpen the sadhana (I hope it is on astrology),

and come up with some results that will become useful to the society.

Hope this will happen in near future.

Note: Please don¢t mis-understand any of the above statements for ego.

Love,

Srenadh

of non astro methods.

Namaste Sreenadh and SunilSreenadh,Sunil has shared a lot of astrology in the past, but, was busy with his new assignment. I am very happy that he has started posting again. He is very research oriented and very curious. He goes depth into the ocean, unlike me, who keeps floating on the surface. My scuba equipment is faulty! You'd appreciate him once you meet him and hear him talk about astrology principles. Do not judge him so quickly. SunilOne does not become a Guru. Guru is not a post to be appointed. Guru = " Gu " and " Ru " meaning dispeller of darkness. Guru shall never call oneself a Guru. The sadhaka or a shishya is one who seeks knowledge and has requisite intelligence to understand it, meanwhile required respect for both knowledge and the person he derives it from. So knowledge is never given nor taken. It simple flows in a welcoming mind, from a knowing mind. No person can deny you the knowledge, if you are a adhikari, and if you aren't one, then, you will not get knowledge even amongst a hundred thousand " Gurus " . Keeping the above in mind, if any Sadhana or spirtitual practice is being done, it is needless to talk about it. It isn't something secret, but, the Sadhaka might start to feel " Spiritual " and that is dangerous and a subtle form of ego. For this reason, one should not tell and keep to oneself. In the lists and in many ashrams I have seen groups of people being made, who do nothing, but, praise each other. They collectively fight all logic and reasoning with their stubbornness. It is like the Church calling everything else as heretic, witch, etc and killing them. This is how pure knowledge is spoiled. It is such practices that one should remain aware of and away from. In other words, keep flowing and maybe a stream may branch off into a river.Hope you find my words a bit helpful. Thanks and RegardsBharatOn 5/30/07, Sreenadh <sreesog wrote:

Dear Sunil ji,

<==

I think that is the reason for you -

* Not revealing any astrological knowledge in forums.

* Not revealing/sharing/publishing/producing any documents on the

same.

If this is the case then,

* What you are searching in these forums?

* How you are expecting others to reveal their knowledge in 'public'

forums and benefit from the same, while you are not willing to do so!

Note: Please don't mis-understand any of the above statements for ego.

Love,

Srenadh

of non astro methods.

Dear Sreenadh, I agree with you, appreciating the clarity you bring to bear on the topic. I can't disagree with Sunil John though. However, there is some muddle: His saying that one has been taught not to reveal what sadhana one is doing, etc. That surely can't be among the basics, and saying merely amounts to striking a 'heavier than thou' kind of posture. Being required to not reveal such a thing is something else. Never mind. Back to basics, our basics being astrology. Now John Saab, throw some light on, even if anecdotal, Richard Hock RK Dash Sreenadh <sreesog wrote: Dear Sunil ji,==>> The basics of Sadhana that i have been taught is not to reveal what sadhana one is doing to others or like general public (forums)<==I think that is the reason for you -* Not revealing any astrological knowledge in forums.* Not revealing/sharing/publishing/producing any documents on the same.If this is the case then,* What you are searching in these forums?* How you are expecting others to reveal their knowledge in ‘public’ forums and benefit from the same, while you are not willing to do so!This contradiction attracts my attention. Frankly speaking I am yet to find any valuable document shared by you, or any produced by you on "pure astrology". I have

seen you only as participating in discussions and making general statements. May be there is something or may not with you. I don't know. But in that case sharpen the sadhana (I hope it is on astrology), and come up with some results that will become useful to the society. Hope this will happen in near future. I always think did not the rishis have enough sadhana to make correct predictions without even seeing the chart or say going into detail, but
