This is a good idea to start of learning Jyotish systematically.

I have a suggestion. Let us first concentrate on those charts

where there are no planets in lagna and no planets aspect lagna.

Then slowly look at cases with planets in lagna and aspects on

lagna.

 

Hope you agree with me.

Sir, I have a question regarding this,

Sun is the Lord of Simha and karak for the

lagna.

Can you please provide the list of karakas

for different house, as the effect of karaka and lagna lord according to the

what I have understood varies substantially.

Because if we take the case of Sun, it is

karaka for Lagna, it is lord of Simha….

 

But it can give same results if it is in

lagna and the lagna is aries or Simha.

 

Please correct me.

With your kind permission can I ask a question as a beginner of this

subject? I wanted to ask that normally lagna lord is thought as

benefic and if lagna lord is placed in a house it is considered good

For example lagna lord in 3rd house the native would be valourous

like a lion and all wealth.So would the results of lagna lord in 3rd

house would change if it is in an inimical sign and how much would

the results change?This is only one example.

Dear Manju,

There are 7 ways of deriving results (this is discussed may times) -

1) Considering Signs alone.

2) Considering Planets alone.

3) Considering Houses Alone [This is what we plan to discuss now]

4) Considering Signs+House combination

5) Considering Signs+Planet combination [Discussed earlier

considering sun in various signs]

6) Considering House+Planet comibination [Discussed earlier

considering sun in various houses]

7) Considering Signs+House+Planet combination

 

The first step is to learn to use these tools independently. You

could see that after the first 3, the later are combinations by

themselves. Don't try to pass class 10 examination with out going to

the primary classes. Hope it is clear.

 

Note: Your question won't be answered, because it is outside the

scope of the subject we are discussing here. Note that is method-3 of

the above mentioned 7-fold method is what we are trying to discuss.

Most of the members in this group is aware of the above strategy. So

be systematic in your approach and limit the questions to the scope

The concepts such as friend, inimical etc is too general. If you

mean to point to the fact " Whether lordship of the houses would be

considered or not? " then, lordship is something that is more related

to the " Sign " (Sign Lord) that to the concept " House " . So your doubt

only tallies with " Derivation of results based on Sign alone " . What

we are trying to discuss here is not that but rather " Derivation of

results based on House alone " . Generally speaking Houses are

independent of lords - for example 3rd house lord can be any planet.

So there is no point in discussing that under the limited scope house

based prediction - which is the point of interest in the current

discussion. Hope this clarifies the point, mentioned in previous mail.
