Revised Rules

Here is a summary of the ruleset as per my understanding. I request

all to verify if my understanding is correct and add other

rules/exceptions when necessary

 

Note: This is based on my understanding of Sreenadhji's posts on Lagna

lord in various houses and a few of other readings. I maybe wrong in a

few places and so correct if I am wrong

 

1 Significance of any house manifests through the lord of the house in

any house. Try and associate the signficance in every possible way

E.g: 1st house significance manifests through Lagna lord. If he is in

the 5th house (which signifies intelligence), you may associate it as

" intelligence of native "

2nd house significance (wealth) manifests through 2nd house lord. If

he is in the 11th house (which signifies wealth), you may associate it

as " gain of wealth "

 

2 Significance of any house materialization will increase when the

house lord is favorably placed by way of own house placement,

exaltation, friendly house. Opposite happens in case of

debilitation/enemy house

E.g: Lagna lord in own house will materialize the significance of 1st

house like good intelligence, good physical body and

strength/appearance, good complexion, good birth into well to do

family (with native land/house etc)

 

3 Any house increases the significance of the house prior to it.

E.g: 3rd signifies brother. 4th signifies many brothers

6th signifies disease, 7th strengthens diseases

12th signifies moksha, 1st strengthens search for moksha

 

4 Signfiicance of house also manifests through the other house lords

placed in it and also through other house lords aspecting it

E.g: Lagna lord increases the significance of the houses that it

occupies and aspects. Lagna lord in 4th house (mother) could include

signifying love and affection of mother

Lagna lord aspecting 8th house (longevity) can provide longevity

Lagna lord in 2nd house will increase money/wealth of the native

 

5 A benefic in any house increases the significance of the things

specified by the house. Same holds true for aspect by benefic. Reverse

holds true for malefics case

E.g: Lagna Lord a benefic in any house increases significance of that

house. If house signifies good things good things are magnified and if

house signifies bad things, bad things are magnified

 

6 For each house, also consider which other house it is the lord of

(since except Sun and Moon, all planets have dual lordship) and try to

associate them in every way

E.g: Consider Gemini Lagna, 5th house (children) is lorded by Venus

who is also 12th lord (loss). It could signify loss of child

 

7 Lagna Lord in any house makes the native so minded

E.g: Lagna lord in 1st house makes native body minded, 2nd house

makes him money minded and so on

 

8 Bhavat Bhavam Principle: Consider any house as reference when making

predictions based on that house alone

E.g: 7th house signify wife, 3rd (brother/sister) from 7th can

signify sister-in-law

2nd (wealth) from 3rd (brother) can signify brother's wealth

7th (wife) from 3rd (brother) can signify brother's wife
