Dear Venkitachala pathi ji Yes, you are right. But it is not necessary that the native should be born in Amavasi it self. Even if it is chaturdasi, trayodasi, Pradhama etc - then too if Sun and Moon are in the same sign the said results applies – and thus you can conclude that for a major portion of the population.
